We hired the room upstairs with afternoon tea for a private event. The room is spacious and beautifully decorated. The room had cosy and peaceful Western atmosphere. Note that I'm reviewing this afternoon tea from a British perspective. To me, the afternoon tea was amazing. Obviously, it's not the same as the ones in England but I prefer this Malaysian version because of the variety of pastries (compared to the typical finger sandwiches and Danish pastries) and the fresh fruits. Everything had its own unique flavours and textures, and they weren't overly sweet or salty. There were unlimited tea refills too. There's one thing I'd like to point out is the portion size for an afternoon tea for two. It was slightly on the smaller side and it was just enough for satisfaction. Also, it was a bit awkward to split the slice of cake even if the two people have known each other for years. Overall experience was positive and I'd recommend this tearoom.

Ordered tea for two which cost about RM47. The server brought a few choices of tea leaves for us to choose. Originally we chose the Scottish blacktea but it had a weird smell after being brewed. We requested to change and management was nice enough to allow us to change to Royal darjeeling tea. The tea set is nothing to shout about. It consists of a couple each of chocolate cake, mini quiche, small sausage puff, cream puff, scones and egg sandwich. Went there around 5pm on Tuesday and was easy to get a table. A nice place to catch up with friends.

Standard dinner. The friendly owner treated us some starter and dessert. Salads and entree are welly made. Seasoning on point, though some a little bit over cooked. Coffees are brewed from beans not some cheap instant powder. Although deco is decent, but very comfortable and cozy. A good place for family dinner. Try to avoid the pastas it gets a bit bland, get yourself some meat instead.

Personalized, attentive service. We ordered 3 set lunches (each consisting of a soup, main course, drink and dessert of the day for RM 30 including taxes), which were well worth it. Main courses overall acceptable. We were also given a complimentary "Saba" (mackerel) in teriyaki sauce, which we actually enjoyed much more than the specialty breaded tilapia fish on their menu; the mackerel was perfectly done, with a nicely crisped exterior and soft, smooth flesh. Dessert was the highlight: An assortment of cakes (so each of us got something different to try, which was a pleasant surprise - this is the first set lunch I've had in Penang with options for dessert) with complimentary lemon ice cream. No regrets, and would consider visiting again for the...
