Hommie 1934 — Hotel in George Town

We spent a week here with a small baby (7 months old). The room - with only one window in the bathroom unfortunately - was spacious enough for the 3 of us, which was a key factor. Although located a short Grab ride away from the main tourist areas (you can walk if you’re not pressed for time), we really enjoyed the local feel of the neighbourhood. Nearby NS Nasi Kandar and the Burmah Food Paradise food court are certainly worth visiting. The hosts were super responsive and they even provided us with an electric kettle as soon as we asked for it. I stayed here for 4 nights and was pretty happy with everything, I had a huge room because that's all they had at the time with Aircon and private bath. The internet didn't work for me which was abit of a let down. There was a washing machine to do my laundry at the shower was hot. Inn general it was clean enough though abit more run down in the room then the Fotos in Agoda showed. They have free filtered water and the ability to cook some basic stuff there. Really lovely guesthouse with fab owner. New, clean and in a nice part of town. Easily walkable to the main streets but not in the touristy parts. In more of the China town area - really really lovely.||Owner gave great tips on where to eat and drink locally (spot on!) and go, and went so far as to print me an itinerary! ||Really love the vibe of the place - also free tea, coffee, shampoo, towels and evening free use of washing machine (they even supply the detergent). ||I'm...
