Place: an air-conditioned restaurant that has a European themed ambience with soft playing music in the background that specialises in western based dishes. Free WiFi here just like many other places. The food here is average and nothing really stands out and shouts personality.
Service: self order via QR code and served after a short time wait.
Food: Chicken chop: the chicken chop was slightly overcooked in my opinion. But the flavours were right. The black pepper was a nice flavour and executed fairly well. Good job on the taste. Verdict: 3.1/5.
Beef burger: the bread-meat-bread ratio was off and the patty was under seasoned for my taste. It was too wet and my burger was crying (bottom bread was soggy). The taste was so so in my opinion and not one dish that I'll come back for. Average burger at best. Verdict: 2.5/5.
Apple crumble pancake: the pancake was nice and fluffy, with the right touch of cinnamon and apple sliced toppings to give it that sweetness it needs. The slightly soggy bottom due to the oil was the let down here. Verdict: 3.5/5.
Sea salt chocolate fudge with ice cream: if the chocolate fudge could have been heated up before served, then it'll add a different element to a wonderful dessert. Some molten chocolate or caramel would be icing on the fudge. Alas, an idea is an idea unless converted into reality....
Read moreCool vintage interior, but that’s about it. Not the best spot if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing environment.
Food: Fish & chips were okay, salad was bitter. Black pepper chicken lacked flavor, wedges were crispy. Osmanthus cheesecake was dry and stale. Drinks: Latte was average with bad latte art. (I don’t care if menu is for illustration only, but the art was so much better) “Midsummer” mocktail was the only highlight.
Service: After paying at the counter, we were wrongly accused of not paying and publicly shouted at by a waitress. Despite showing proof, we were forced to return to the café, only for them to realize their own mistake. Poor apology, no accountability.
Poorly managed café with untrained staff. (Where is the supervisor?) Won’t recommend.
Updated: Please check with the employees who worked on June 21,...
Read moreThe place is nestle alongside other nice cafes and eateries in Eco-Botanic and is easy to find, with lots of parking. We came a little after lunch and the place was fairly empty with only 1 or 2 tables seated.
I loved the ambience and the effort put in for the decor! The whole place is spacious and nicely lit from the natural lights from the street (big glass door) and good use of warm lighting.
Food was just as splendid. We had the fish and chips, spicy cheesy spaghetti, steaky beef breakfast and creamy pumpkin farfelle with beef bacon. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. Oh.. and the fries are really good too.
I had a black coffee after meal and one of the better coffee I’ve ever had.
Last, we had tiramisu for dessert and it was not too bad.
Highly recommended to come here if you looking for a nice cafe to chill or for...
