This establishment is, regrettably, a tragic case of promise undone by a spectacular lack of competence. A venue that could, with the faintest glimmer of operational insight, offer a charming evening—yet instead spirals into farce, one misstep at a time.
Upon arrival at seven o’clock, we were greeted not by warm hospitality, but by a music box belting out hardstyle techno at nightclub volume—an acoustic assault more befitting a warehouse rave than a supposedly respectable dining venue. Only after we explicitly requested a change did someone have the presence of mind to adjust it, as if a screaming bassline were the standard prelude to ordering a steak.
Drinks were ordered, including several for one member of our party. This, it seems, overwhelmed the staffs mental capacity. A bucket was eventually brought—naturally, without ice—requiring a second trip. As condensation pooled across the table from the cool drinks, we resorted to napkins to dry it ourselves. This act of self-service seemed to awaken something in the staff, who responded by bringing coasters—belatedly and, of course, incompletely. One guest, evidently invisible, had to ask for theirs directly.
Menus closed, eyes met with staff, and the unmistakable air of “we’re ready to order” hung in the air. It was met, astoundingly, with an offer for additional drinks. Only after spelling it out were we permitted to place our food order: two steaks, and some sides, plus a Burger of a friend that joined a few minutes later. A simple order—yet treated like a logistical conundrum.
The burger, ironically for the friend who joined us last, was served first. The sides followed, scattered and out of sequence. The steaks? Ninety minutes later. In that time, we were asked to repeat our order once again 10 minutes later, and half an hour in, someone remembered to inquire about sauces. A meek apology was eventually offered, citing kitchen staff shortages—as though this explained the baffling ballet of forgetfulness and delay.
To their credit, the food was not a complete disaster. The steaks were slightly chewy but serviceable, and the sides met baseline expectations. The beer sauce, regrettably, retained an unpleasent alcoholic bite, a reminder that even the kitchen was not entirely spared from the evening’s general malaise. Still, after all we’d endured, the meal was a brief reprieve — a spark of a saving grace if you will.
It was, however, short-lived.
A senior staff member, sensing perhaps the slightest chance of redemption, offered what seemed to be an olive branch: premium whiskey cocktails, presented with the air of apology. We accepted, cautiously grateful for the gesture. That gratitude promptly evaporated with the arrival of the bill, where these supposed amends were listed at full price—each a miniature monument to the dysfunction we’d just spent three hours enduring.
In sum, this is a place where the actual beautiful ambiance is drowned in bass, service borders on experimental theatre, and any hope of hospitality is dashed against the rocks of negligence. The food may be tolerable with even potential to greatness, but no dish is worth enduring such a cavalcade...

Read moreThis is gonna be a long one but already cut short…….Being gluten free and dairy free, the first time we were here I was pleasantly surprised to see that menu was clearly labelled and that there were many gluten free options. So went ahead with what was clearly marked Gluten Free and vegan. Ordered the mushroom soup and the pork ribs. To my surprise, the mushroom soup came with two pieces of bread in the soup which made me wonder if it was really gluten free so I just had my husband eat the bread and I drank some of the soup which was fantastic (thank god I am gluten intolerant and not celiac. I am also wondering if it’s vegan like they say). The pork ribs were decent but a tad dry, for the price I wouldn’t order it again. Today was the second time we went there and mainly cos we have a bottle parked there from the last time…..the last time I noticed that the menu stated that some of the pastas were gluten free and some were not which was very strange (u can see for yourself from the pic of the menu attached). When staff were asked they confirmed that the pasta itself was not gluten free and they didn’t have any gluten free pasta. So why label your menu if there is no such thing??? What is really gluten free and what isn’t??! Some people have serious allergies so not cool. The stars given has got nothing to do with the service as service and staff were great however given due to the very misleading menu! Won’t be back for food ever….for...
