My husband and I are huge teppanyaki fans. Its actually quite difficult to find a really good (muslim-friendly) teppanyaki place here in JB.
Found this place via Instagram. I made reservations for the 5 of us (2 adults 2 kids and 1 baby) via Whatsapp the first time last week for my husbandās Fatherās Day celebration. They provided us with seats right in front of the chef and a baby booster chair as per request during booking.
The staff was very friendly, very accommodating, very helpful and very kind. The food was super duper delicious. A bit pricey compared to our usual teppanyaki meals back in Klang Valley. But thats probably because of their larger portions and premium ingredients used.
Our chef, Mr Michael, was entertaining and friendly. Made some performance for us while cooking. Compliments to the chef as the food we ordered were simply delicious! We really really enjoyed our meals. We ordered one mixed grill, one chicken, one beef striploin and one tiger prawn. We really underestimated the portions here so we had to pack some of the leftovers back, which was fine.
Even the restaurant manager, Mr Badrul (if Iām not mistaken), was very accommodating and friendly.
We came back again today, after 1 week gap, for our youngest sonās birthday. This time we brought along my sister and her family. Even they enjoyed their meals too. Again, Mr Michael was our chef for the evening. This time around, he made us extra special orders and even gave the kids some desserts on the house. Even Mr Badrul gave us some extra meals on the house which was very kind of him. We ordered two mixed grill, one beef striploin (medium doneness), one tiger prawn (so delicious you have to try it) and one bean sprouts (our favourite to complete our teppanyaki meals).
Just one thing that I would like to comment is to maybe wipe the counter/table regularly. The first time we went there for lunch, it was clean probably because we were the first customers there. But today evening, probably because of back to back customers coming in and out, they didnt manage to wipe our tables properly before we came. Eitherways it is not a major problem and can be improved with time Im sure.
Other than that, we are very happy and pleased with our experiences here. Will definitely recommend to others and will come back again soon. Keep it up! šš»...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe ordered, Ebi Tempura, Saba shioyaki, Chicken Kara-age donburi, Chiken Teriyaki, and garlic rice. Tempura was ok, Saba was very small and Thin not much fish meat and should grill bit more. Karaage donburi was ok but prefer no sauce on the Chiken as we couldnāt taste Chiken Karage, because sauce was too much. Most disappointed food was Chicken Teriyaki⦠too much and too sweet sauce, only taste sauce not Chicken( hope it grilled more crunchy). You can put less sauce and extra sauce on side for people who like sweet sauce . As I am Japanese I didnāt really enjoy all as good Japanese food. We didnāt try Teppanyaki as we want to try basic Japanese food first, but if you put a lot of sauce to cover the original meat taste, I wonāt enjoy Teppanyaki at all. Hope you take this comment as honest feedback by a Japanese. But it seems many good comments for your restaurant, so maybe...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePlace: situated just beside the Puteri harbour, there's ample sunlight here. This shop specialises in Japanese teppanyaki food.
Service: fairly prompt and quick to attend and for the food to be made right in front of you before arriving into your stomach. The dancing from the chef is something that unique to this food type. It's good to see it being kept in this restaurant. If there's something that can be improved, it's that the cook be more mindful of the handling between raw meat and cooked meats at the same time. Good that he asked me if the beef was ok after half way through my meal. Appreciated it.
Food: Beef teppanyaki set: comes with rice, miso soup and beef with vegetables. The vegetable portion could have been more in my opinion but it's still ok. The taste is good and flavourful. I'm happy with the food I had....
