Mapo Tofu & Fried Pork in Sauce

Mapo Tofu is good. I really enjoyed it. It doesn't have this weird oil taste that most mapo tofu I had tried have. It was fragrant with good amount of spice and numbness. Perfect pair with white rice. However, the fried pork, or known as 锅包肉 was disappointing, though the meat itself was good. Not that it taste bad or anything. It was good but it tasted more like fried pork in lemon sauce rather than the authentic 锅包肉 which had a balanced taste of sweet and sour (not the usual sweet and sour pork taste). We checked with the staff and they said the flavour was meant to match local taste bud. Perhaps calling it 锅包肉 isn't right since it was totally a different dish presented.

Service itself was good. Definitely will come back to try the other stuff because it does look good. Atmosphere was great too. It was clean. The only downside would be the smell that follows when you leave the restaurant - but it's a common issue with...

The food is pretty good and service has been great as well in the last 2-3 times we have visited the place. Food is served promptly and tastes great. They have Tsingtao beer as well if you are interested.

The only improvement I feel they need is to provide an actual menu so that we do not have to walk to the back of the restaurant to look at the photos of the food before deciding what to have. It is not very convenient especially when you are new to the cuisine and am not sure what to order. Sometimes we have to take turns walking up to the wall just to decide. A simple QR-Code online menu would...

We went there near closing time (last order is at 10.30pm) but the staff still welcomed us with hospitality. Order 2 bottles of beer, hearty chit chat with my friends and we had an enjoyable time. Be sure to order their cumin stir fried mutton, stir fried tomato with eggs (trust me, this is not your average dish), and bbq prawns (very fresh!). This is like a hidden gem in JB especially for us foreigners but your trip will be...

Couldn't believe a simple family meal can be so nice. We are heading to JB for children day. While living in hotel near by. We are walking to t AEON shopping mall. This restaurant is on the way and we just visit for dinner. The Crisp Su dong with Salty egg is their signature dish. Its so crispy and tasty. The portion of dish is big and we had such a wonderful dinner for the night.

The Mala was quite mild, you can actually drink the Mala gravy. The staff told us that they purposely reduce the spiciness to suit local taste buds, well, it might not let everyone happy… Their food was good, but not every food; you might have chance to step on the mine. Worth to mention, the grille lamb on the wood stick was very good; I would love to come back for it.
