Subject: AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Filthy Rooms Crawling with Roaches & Staff Who Couldn't Care Less
1 STAR is too generous. This place is an absolute health hazard and a masterclass in customer neglect.
My friend stayed here recently and endured a nightmare. Not one, but TWO cockroaches were seen crawling in their room – one during the day, and another at night. Let that sink in: cockroaches crawling freely in a place where people sleep.
The first incident was horrifying enough. When they reported the first roach crawling ON THEIR BEDSHEET to the front desk, the staff member's response was utterly appalling:
No apology whatsoever. Not a hint of concern or accountability.
Refused to help change the contaminated bedding! Their excuse? The person who changes sheets "had finished work." Unacceptable. A roach was on the sleeping surface, and they offered zero solution – not even attempting to change it themselves or find someone who could.
Didn't even offer it as an option despite the obvious infestation and health risk in that room.
The front desk staff essentially shrugged and left my friend to sleep in a room with roach-contaminated sheets. The indifference was staggering.
Only later that night, after discovering a SECOND cockroach in the same filthy room (proving the first wasn't a fluke, but an infestation), did the next shift staff member finally allow them to change rooms. Why did it take two roaches and immense distress to get the bare minimum action?
This is beyond unacceptable:
Unsanitary Conditions: Cockroaches are disease vectors. Seeing one is bad; seeing two in the same room confirms an infestation problem. This is not just dirty; it's a health risk.
Abysmal Staff Training & Attitude: The first staff member's complete lack of empathy, apology, or problem-solving was disgraceful. Refusing to change roach-covered bedding is negligent.
Management Failure: This incident screams of poor hygiene standards, inadequate pest control, and staff who are clearly not empowered or trained to handle basic guest concerns, let alone health hazards.
Do not gamble with your health, comfort, or money here. The presence of multiple cockroaches combined with the staff's shocking indifference makes this place utterly unfit for guests. Save yourself the disgust and stay literally anywhere else. Management...
Read moreThe first thing that struck me was the name "Zamburger". What a way to name your hotel chain !! Maybe the owner used to be in F&B and now decided to expand the business. Anyway...
The staff were friendly. From the staff behind the counter to the cleaner mopping the floor. Never without a smile when talking to customers. And the entire lobby smells nice. Well done !
The floors, lift and corridors were clean. It is a small hotel, only 3 storeys tall and there are also rooms on the ground floor.
Our room was clean and tidy. Aircon was cold and the bathroom had an instant water heater for hot and cold shower. Toilet bowl and sink were clean and working properly. Shampoo and body wash were provided but not toothbrush and toothpaste.
There was a small wardrobe with hangers for clothes. An LCD TV together with a small writing table and chair were also provided. So you can use your laptop but the wifi was a bit slow. Maybe good enough for emails but not for streaming videos. There was also a small kettle with 3 cups and 3 packs of instant coffee.
Our room had a single bed and a queen bed. I booked for a room with 2 single beds but they gave us an upgrade. An iron with ironing board was provided at the lift lobby of each floor.
The location of the hotel was quite central to quite a few things. AEON Permas Jaya was just 100 metres away to the south. Not as big as AEON Tebrau but it has clothes, electronics, furniture, sports, supermarket, foodcourt, bouncy castle, playground for the kids etc.
About 100 metres to the north, you can find coffeshops, a 24-hr laundromat, a wet-market (Pasar Tani) and...
Read moreMe, my mother and my severely Autistic little brother checked in for one night. Around 1a.m., my little brother started having continuous meltdowns, so we did everything in our power to calm him. I received a call from the receptionist asking if our room was the reason behind all the noise, so I replied yes, and briefly explained about my little brother's situation. We successfully calmed him down then he slept at 2a.m. He woke us up crying at 4a.m. and we found that the room had no electricity. We waited quite a while, being in the stuffy place as my brother continued crying due to being uncomfortable since there is no air conditioning. We checked out and the receptionist looked like she was expecting it and when we inquired her about the electricity, she just shrugged it off saying maybe there's an electric circuit. They had no right to do that to us, customers who paid the same amount as other customers yet being treated as if we are not equal. The hotel obviously kicked us out, I was hoping for more tolerance since they put an 'OKU services' sticker at their door. Wasted money on the hotel and getting...
