Very local taste. Yes indeed! The Mee Pok is nice..
We tried the chilli and non chilli(black sauce) Mee pok. The bowl with chilli is a bit dry.
We do not know how to order and the friendly aunty recommended us mixed soup. So we tried. It is the premium set(cost higher) That includes slices of pork, liver, kidney scallops, fish balls, fish cake, a bit of minced meat and mock abalone.
We also ordered some yong Tau foo which was displayed on the other table. You need to take yourself and they will cut for you. Either you can add into the soup or you want to eat it this way. My suggestion is to add it into the soup as it is cold..
Overall taste good...
Read moreI had the hankering to eat mee pok for lunch today so i did some research online and it took me here. This mee pok is run by Lao Tee’s nephew (Ah Kiang) who took over from his dad (Lao Tee’s brother).
The mee pok only comes with char siew and the soup with wantan. It is not the same presentation and taste as Lao Tee which has bean sprouts, fishball and minced pork.
The mee pok was only so so but apparently it has a significant following and eventually got crowded after we sat down and ordered the food.
I will probably not come here again cos it is not the same Lao Tee style as i am used to when i ate mee...

Noodles are cooked al-dente, with nice touch of chilli. Also, there are char siew slices served together with the noodles. Price is reasonable at RM8 for the basic bowl of noodles. Only gripe is fishball was a bit fishy. Portion was small too. Will upgrade to bigger...
