Stayed at this property once before. Decided to stay again. Horrible experience during my 1 night stay. Room was clean (at least to the eyes). When I switched off the lights and about to sleep, I felt an itchiness on my shoulder. Woke up to see it was a bed bug bites! Husband and I frantically checked my clothes and flipped the beds to check. Managed to find the bed bug on my shirt, caught it and passed it to the staff. We asked to change our room, which he did but downgraded my room from a king bed to a queen bed room. Staff did apologize but did nothing further to recover the experience. Nothing about compensation or give any advice/treatment until I asked. He mentioned to see doctor and can claim the doctor fee from the hotel insurance. The staff didn't not seem to realise the great inconvenience caused to us, as it was also 1am. We could not even get proper sleep in the new room as we checked every corner of the room and fear of the bugs, it's a traumatic experience. When I checked out the next morning, a female staff did apologize for the matter and said that I will get discount for the next stay. I believe service recovery should be done immediately, instead all they did was hope the guest come again then only will they make it a better. They just lost a customer. Not...
Read moreThis hotel is small, clean, and quiet — ideal for a restful stay. The room looked exactly like the photos, which was a pleasant reassurance. The front desk staff speak perfect English, which makes check-in and general queries easy. One thoughtful gesture was the front desk offering fish food for kids — a small but memorable touch. Filtered drinking water is also available, which is a convenient bonus. The location is great too, with many massage places nearby that are clean and professional — nothing dodgy at all.
However, there were a few drawbacks. The TV in the room wasn’t working, which was a minor letdown. While the front desk staff communicated well, most of the other staff are from Myanmar and may not fully understand English, making communication a bit difficult at times. The biggest surprise was the rooftop area. It’s advertised as a hangout spot, but when I went up, I found half-naked men (presumably staff) smoking there — not the relaxing space I had hoped for.
All in all, despite a few quirks, this is a good hotel with genuine value, especially for...
Read moreSharing my unpleasant stay at Miyabi hotel with everyone as I am not going to stay with this hotel again.
I checked in on the 19 august and realised the room was infested with ants. i found ants crawling on the table and the BED so I quickly informed their staff for a room change. However, the only room left was a downgraded one so I have no choice but to take it. I asked the staff for compensation as time was wasted and I had to stay in a downgraded room. You know what, i was offered 3 cans of beer for compensation! So I told the staff I don't drink so I rejected the offer. And I said please inform the management about this.
The management did not respond until I sent them an reminder email 2 days after I checked out on the 21 aug. I was offered free room upgrade the next time i stay with them.. I was like No way I gonna stay @ Miyabi hotel again
PS: No exaggeration, just sharing with anyone who is going to stay at Miyabi hotel. Good luck to you, not...
