A comfortable place to have dim sum but unfortunately, we found the quality of the dishes a touch uneven.
We tried the Siew mai: no complaints. It was lightly seasoned and the meat still retained its texture. Pleasant eating.
The fried radish cake had wok hei and the egg and bean sprouts on the dish were decently seasoned. the radish cake chunks were fried but not crispy - even though there was a crust on the outside, it was soft and provided no textual contrast. The radish cake tasted like it came out of a factory. It was alternately hard and gluey, barely seasoned and one struggled to find any radish in it.
The sweet and sour pork sauce was tasty -bright, savoury and sweet, but the battered pork wasn't crispy. The crust seemed to have sogged out to the point where it had the same texture as the meat, which was cut quite small and lacked bounce and chew. it was, at times, hard to figure out where the crust ended and where the meat began.

Read moreI really wanted to like this place. But I guess I went at the wrong time. The food was good quality but the problem was the wait. I know it's a Sunday and at a peak hour, but I waited 40 mins before the first dish was served, and after more than 1 hour, there were 2 dishes that were yet to be served. We asked about those dishes twice, and yet was told that we would have to wait an additional 10 mins. I watched as the other tables who came after me ate their full and were about to leave, so I had to cancel those 2 dishes. I'm usually a very patient and understanding person, but after more than an hour, I just couldn't wait anymore. I left still feeling hungry. It's unacceptable. Kindly improve your system, address the issues. Needless to say, I won't be visiting...
