food was pretty good. service by the ladies were very good but the male servers... one or two were abit rude. will recommend the marbled beef, lamb and pork belly. fried mushrooms were also good. the sauces that were good were sweet sauce, garlic sauce and korean spicy. the salt and leek one was a little odd. the smoke vent sucks in the excess smoke and fire which was nice. the buffet was worth the money paid. weekend lunch was RM108++, elderly gets 10% off. things to be improved: the sauces are not labelled so it's wasteful when we pour out what we don't want chopsticks were disposable and not very comportable there wasn't any ice on the day we visited so only hot drinks. they also don't sell soft drinks which is a little odd. salmon head wasn't amazing. miso soup had too much ingredients and not much soup. tamago soup wasn't very good, the egg was very clumpy. overall still pretty good experience, will be back soon! do note they do not have wifi for travellers from SG.

Got a treat for lunch from my daughter yesterday. There are 2 options of dining : ala carte or buffet. Unless u are a BIG Eater, it would be more worthwhile to opt for the ala carte. As the buffet style is priced at Rm158 p/head,elderly gets a 10% discount & kids 4yrs are charged Rm29.90. Service is gd but a tad slow unless u order all at 1 go....BUT wastage of food is charged. Kimchi soup didnt taste that great as reviewed by others. Seafood is fresh & the wagyu beef slices seasoned with just salt & pepper tasted great. The salmon cubes should be cut slightly bigger as it tend to break up when taking off the charcoal grill cuz it gets stuck on the grating. Atmosphere/ambience is nice. But it can get noisy if u get neighbors laughing loudly. Seats are comfortable, a/con is cool enough. Having an exhaust beside the grill is a great idea cuz u/yr clothes wont reek of BBQ smell after yr meal. Overall it was a gd experience but on the costly side. 😁

Tanba Japanese BBQ is a culinary gem that truly stands out in the dining scene. From the moment you step inside, will welcomed by a friendly and attentive staff that sets the tone for a delightful dining experience. The service here is impeccable, making you feel right at home. One of the standout features of Tanba is its all-you-can-eat buffet, a paradise for meat lovers. You can savor a wide array of delectable options, from succulent cuts of beef to fresh seafood. What's impressive is you can keep order through your phone, which not only streamlines the process but also ensures you get exactly what you desire. Booking table here can be done early via their website. The interior design at Tanba is visual delight, combining modern elegance with traditional Japanese elements. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a perfect setting for a memorable meal. Plus the beautiful doors add a touch of authenticity to the overall decor.

My most recent visit left me VERY VERY disappointed with the service and attitude of the staff. I had opted for the buffet course for 2 PAX and after our second order the food lagged behind while we are seeing other tables getting served what they have just ordered awhile ago.Not to mention, the air-con right above the table where we were seated had been leaking throughout the entire meal. Who knew Tanba Molek also had water free flow from their air-con. The beef karubi they served was so thick that even my dog would develop jaw problems from chewing it. When I asked the staff to check on my order as I had been left waiting for more than 10 minutes, the staff just nodded unapologetically while I waited for another 10 minutes for my order to finally arrive. A woman who might be the manager of this establishment asked and took away the seasonings from our table. This rubbed me the wrong way as this wasn't the first time this has happened to me at Tanba. They were other tables that she could have asked from but she chose ours which was ridiculous when you are still in the midst of eating. For the price I would expect at least decent service from Tanba Molek but they have managed disgust me with their atrocious service repeatedly. Tanba Molek is easily the worst restaurant that I have been to in 2021. Would not recommend to anyone as they are many other decent yakiniku places in JB that would put Tanba...
