Truffle Carborana = RM28.00 Sando Mentaiko Tamagoyaki = RM20.00 Houjicha (Iced) = RM9.90
Service Charge 10% = RM6.10 SST Tax 6% = RM3.66
This place looks Very Non-Descript and even looks Unfinished. It really looks like someone's Abandoned Housing Project.
The Interior has a Very Industrial, Grungy and even Modern "Post-Futurism Look"? I loved the Background Music they played in this place which sounds like an OST pulled directly from Cyberpunk 2077.
Nicely Airconditioned, the Staffs are Polite. I'd like to give a Shoutout to one of the Staff, Vimal who was Confident in his Recommendations.
The Food served here are a sort of Modern Japanese/European Fusion. Both the Truffle Carborana and Sando were up together in 4 Mins and the Houjicha was surprisingly the Slowest only to be up after 6 Mins. Everything was up in 6 Mins.
Houjicha (Iced) = RM9.90
I'm disappointed with how it was presented. The cup looked like some Cheap Ikea Plastic Knockoff. For a Japanese Tea that cost RM9.90 (S$3.10) I thought they would at least serve it in a Glass Cup. The Taste also didn't impress me and I thought this totally tasted like Pokka's Zero Sugar Oolong Tea.
Truffle Carborana = RM28.00
This comes in a Big Bowl. Presentation looks Simple but the Taste has Depth. The Main Cream Broth tasted like a Mix of Japanese Dashi with a Light Cream. The Dashi Stock helps very much in cutting the Jelakness making the Broth Nice and Savoury. This Cream Broth totally works as both Flavours gelled very well and didn't clash with each other.
I loved the Onsen Tamago here which injects the Dish with an Extra Layer of Creaminess. The Other Seasonings were Truffle Shavings, Seaweed Powder and some Mushrooms. All of them contribute to the Savouriness of this Dish.
The Main Highlight is the Udon which was Soft and Smooth. They were the Perfect Vehicle to Soak up and Carry the Cream Broth and it was quite Bliss to Slurp them up Noisily.
I like this and I feel it is well made. The Ingredients are Simple but its Well Executed. If you enjoy Japanese Dishes with a Prominent Dashi taste, you will enjoy this one.
Sando Mentaiko Tamagoyaki = RM20.00
There was an Amazing Strong Toasted Super Appetizing Aroma of Caramelized Mentaiko bubbling on the Top when this was served up.
Its a White Bread Sandwich with a Fried Tamagoyaki in the Middle and the Top is Slathered with a Generous Thick Serving of Mentaiko. I'm not a Mentaiko Expert so I dunno if this is Good Quality or not but it taste nice lah, Savoury Saltish and Seafoody.
The Mentaiko forms the Core Dominant Taste followed by the Slight Crunch of the Panko Breading with the Tamagoyaki starts bursting forth. This Mixture of Mentaiko and the Sweetness of the Tamagoyaki tasted Very Good during the 1st Slice but can get Jelak due to the Mixture of Mentaiko and Tamagoyaki Sweetness.
Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At a Total Combined Price of RM70.80 (S$22.00), this is Expensive. Probably not Expensive for the Young Trendy High Earning Gen-Z, 20-Somethings Customer Base here, but for a 46 Year Old Uncle like me, yea it is Expensive.
It's very easy to hate and dismiss this place as another "Young People Gen-Z" kind of Expensive Atas Cafe, but I am impressed with their Culinary Effort, especially their Truffle Carborana (Carbonara) Ughhh that Mispelling. I also totally get this Restaurant's "Post Modern Faux Art Gallery" Concept even though it is not for me. Love their Choice of Music tho.
Overall I do like this place, although I wouldn't come here to take Instagram Photos which is one of the Main Appeal of this Place I understand. I don't feel it is really worth queuing for HOURS for this like what I've read. Can you imagine queue for hours at JB Kastam and continuing to queue for HOURS more here?
I just wish they correct their Carborana (Carbonara) Spelling though, because the Misspelling really looks quite Amusing.

Read moreTruffle Carbonara (RM28++) Saw some reviews on this on Google review and decided to try. I was actually impressed. Udon were springy and it was packed with umami. Furthermore, the truffle was strong but not overpowering the dish. It was creamy but not overly creamy to the point you'd feel jelat.
Unagi Ochazuke (RM40++) I REALLY REALLY LOVE the presentation of this one. The unagi was nice and the matcha dashi stock was really light and had a nice umami taste too. I'd say this is a warm and comforting treat and would recommend trying too.
Tempura Saba Fish (RM26++) Again, nice presentation. However I felt that this one, while it might seem a little unique, it didn't really impress me as much, like perhaps it didn't stand out as much as the other 2? (Just my thoughts) it's not bad but I think I wouldn't order it.
Strawberry Matcha Iced Latte (RM17++) Saw that this was rather popular and decided to order (I mean, I have heard friends talking about their matcha and so I was curious about it). Hm, honestly I think the strawberry was alright but I think I would prefer more matcha, so maybe I'd just go for matcha latte next time.
White Coffee (RM12++) Needed a caffeine fix, and the coffee smelt SO GOOD when we were queuing so I thought to try the white coffee. It was strong, kinda bitter but not overly bitter, and it didn't seem to be acidic (or at least taste like so). I think if you need a caffeine fix after all the walking and shopping, this might be something to consider!
Sea Salt Brownie with Yuri Matcha Cream (RM20++) I enjoyed this a lot. Brownie was moist and the chocolate was quite rich, going really well with the chunks of sea salt which helped neutralise the sweetness and add another flavour dimension to this dessert. Further, the matcha cream was smooth and added a further dimension to the texture and flavour of this, going well with the brownie too. Love this a lot and would recommend!
Overall I enjoyed my drinks here. While they might be popular for their matcha, do consider the coffee too! I think this place really uses really aesthetic bowls and the concept of it is nice - oh and it really doesn't look like a cafe to me from outside (our Grab overshot and had to turn back). But despite all these, it is a really busy place so be prepared to queue for a bit. Ambience wouldn't be as quiet as some other cafes. But food is worth trying. I'd go for the unagi ochazuke or the udon (depending on my mood if I want rice or noodles and if I don't wanna try something new). But well I think I will be back to try other food like the...
Read moreDecided to finally pay Keijometo a visit after seeing many reviews of it on Tiktok and Instagram. I will be very honest. I am TERRIFIED of leaving this review because of how aggressive and hostile Keijometo's replies are when it comes to negative reviews. Alright, here goes nothing. This place is beautiful. Industrial themed with a consistent concrete interior. Seating capacity is decent as well. My experience with the service staff was pleasant too. We arrived at 11.30am and were promptly seated. Ordering was done via a QR code.
Food was served incredibly fast. We ordered the following items: (1) Mentaiko Tamagoyaki Sando; (2) Mentaiko Salmon Donburi; (3) Matcha Latte; (4) Strawberry Matcha Latte.
(1): I am very scared to say this. I found it salty. Yes yes, I know it's subjective and mentaiko is inherently salty. But shucks... this was on another level. Barring the saltiness, the quality of mentaiko used is good. Tamagoyaki was done well (crispy on the side that was seared) and the bread quality is acceptable.
(2): Salmon was excellent. Best thing we ordered. There were some fine tiny bones but nothing major. The harmony between all the ingredients in the donburi was stellar.
(3): Matcha was a little on the weak side. Not the most mind blowing matcha latte out there but it's definitely above average.
(4): Sigh. Bracing myself for the angry reply. The strawberry matcha latte was terrible. Absolutely confusing. If you close your eyes and take a sip, you will think that you are drinking strawberry milk. I tried my bestest to aggressively stir the drink in a futile attempt to bring out the matcha taste. I.... really wouldn't recommend this drink unless you solely care about the aesthetic appeal. (It looks beautiful).
Overall cost: 90RM for the 4 items. I shan't comment on the price as it is quite sensitive for me to do so as a Singaporean. Just sharing the price for full transparency.
Alright there you go. I am mentally prepared for the vitriol that will come my way by posting this. Personally, I wouldn't join the long queue which forms at 11am. But hey, my opinion is...
