Party Haus — Hotel in Johor

My nephew and nieces booked this homestay for Hari Raya so that we could spend some time together after 3 years of covid 19 restrictions. We all looked forward to our one day together at this homestay esp with the karaoke facilities. However, we were sad that out of the 7 promised rooms, we could only make use of only 3 rooms, the 4th and 5th rooms aircon blew just air and were not cold enough (were sweating) and the 6th and 7th rooms upstairs ( with one toilet outside downstairs) were not curtained and the hot sun (evening) could penetrate in directly without cover This no curtain room also deprived us of our privacy. The facilities in the karaoke room were marvelous with the air con functioning cold and well, so most of us just stayed and made ourselves comfortable in that room instead of our hot rooms. Me and my family were fortunate as our room with one sofa downstairs and air con were ok, only the big toilet emitted some bad sewerage smell ... we hope that the owner could improve the status of the rooms and air conditioning for all clients to enjoy a good rest after a long day. For improvement, we would suggest the owner to provide a microwave for renters to use and heat up food,...

2 out of 6 bedrooms have a full sized glass window without any curtains, so the rooms are not liveable especially for ladies. And from these rooms you don't have a shade path to the toilet. So if it is raining and you need to go to the toilet, you need to bring your own umbrella or prepare to get wet. 2 out of 6 bathrooms' toilet pumps cannot be used because the water pressure is almost non-existent for the water to fill up the tank, so you have to manually carry water to fill up the tank before you do your business. 1 of the bedroom's air-conditioning switch is linked with the room light, so when you switch off the light the air-conditioning also get switched off, so if you need to sleep without lights on, you can't use that room. 3 out of 6 bedrooms were without any side table or wardrobe to place your bags or luggage. The outdoor gardens are not maintained well, the plants were over-bushy. Karaoke sets are not great; don't put high expectations on English or Malay songs. The location is good because it is in the center of JB. Overall not a nice experience for family; but maybe ok for a bachelor...

This is an extremely irresponsible and dishonest business that keeps avoiding problems and refuses to address them. The guesthouse is very dirty, extremely unclean, with many broken areas, and the bed has serious issues. The shower room and toilet are also problematic.

I negotiated with the owner to stay only one night, and they agreed to refund me, but now they keep avoiding this and refuse to issue the refund.
