We visited Fifty Trees today for a birthday celebration, but the experience was far from what we expected. Right from the start, we were told we couldn’t eat the cake we brought, only allowing us to take photos with it. Despite this ridiculous policy, we decided to stay since our group of 13 pax with 6 kids and 7 adults, had already planned to have a meal, with each adult ordering a main course and drinks, and the kids enjoying snacks. It's not like we were just there for tea, we certainly didn’t spend A LITTLE. When we noticed that our table arrangement was too long and uncomfortable, I asked a waiter to remove one of the tables for us. Instead of assisting, he rudely walked off, and when he finally returned, he bluntly told us "tak boleh" because there was "no place" to put the table—even though the café was FAR from full at the time. The fact that a café taking up two entire shoplots couldn’t accommodate a simple request to make our group more comfortable is beyond frustrating. The complete lack of flexibility and basic customer service is unacceptable, especially for a large group like ours. To top it off, we had to make the kids eat the birthday cake OUTSIDE on the stairs because they couldn’t understand why they weren’t allowed to enjoy it inside. This entire experience was disappointing, and it’s clear how little this café cares about accommodating their customers. We won’t ever be visiting this place again. Thanks for today—now we know exactly how we’ve...
Read moreTruly underrated place! Came around 2pm+ and it was half filled with customers. Overall it is a pleasant time here! Really enjoyed the vibe and nice scenery and decorations!
Food wise, they are truly nice and much worth the price (while still being super affordable for a Singaporean). There is a lot of food option and I’m sure everyone will be able to find something they like. We shared a pizza and ordered mains, snacks and drinks and desserts.
We highly recommend spicy broccoli for any broccoli lovers! It was fried to perfect with the greatest spices! There is chicken chops and we ordered mushroom and kecap manis. Both flavours are rich and great! We thought the chicken chop will come as what it is but there is actually wedges and a small salad on top of the meat! The fish and chips was super good too as the fish was battered nicely
The chicken pepperoni pizza was alright , and the drinks were okay, but still they are enjoyable.
For the dessert! We tried black sesame waffle and Nutella pancakes Oh wow we really enjoyed them! The Nutella sauce for the pancake was generously given and we enjoyed every bit of it! For any black sesame lover, the waffle is a must try! It is coated so well and flavourful with every bite! This is truly a magical dessert experience ❤️ and I would think they are the highlights of the meal!
Overall it is a great experience! The staff and nice and...
Read moreThis past Sunday evening, my visit to Fiftytree was truly exceptional. Upon entering, I was immersed in a lush green paradise. The restaurant's centerpiece, a garden separated by a towering glass window, was a serene sight, with staff nurturing the plants.
Fiftytree offers ample seating for approximately 100 patrons and boasts an interior design that combines nostalgic elements with an abundance of greenery. The standout feature, a wall resembling a world map, adds a captivating touch.
Notably, there were not many customers around, which added to the tranquil ambiance. Forgive me for gushing about the atmosphere, but it genuinely surprised me. What seems like an ordinary restaurant from outside transforms into a hidden gem indoors.
Now, let's talk about the food. I ordered the grilled chicken chop with Kampung fried rice. On a scale of 1 to 5, the chicken deserves a solid 5 - perfectly cooked and tender. The fried rice was equally impressive, with a delightful wokhei flavor. The food's presentation was impressive.
I sat beside the central garden, enjoying both the meal and the greenery. I highly recommend Fiftytree and look forward to my return.
I did have hopes of renting their space for a party, but unfortunately, they require a minimum of 70 guests to reserve the venue. Nevertheless, this minor limitation doesn't diminish Fiftytree's overall charm...
