The experience at Sama Restaurant was disappointing. The food was overpriced for the quality offered, lacked flavor, and wasn’t satisfying. Additionally, the cleanliness of the establishment left much to be desired, and the place and staff were not kid-friendly, making the overall dining experience underwhelming. Not worth the cost.
Thank you for your detailed response as below. It's reassuring to know that tapping on a fish tank and children being, well, children, are such serious safety concerns at your family-friendly restaurant. We’re glad to hear you reviewed the CCTV footage—what dedication! Perhaps next time, you could provide an orientation for parents on your behavioral expectations for children upon arrival.
We’ll also be sure to teach our kids not to run or express curiosity in any way. After all, we wouldn’t want to disrupt the fish or the delicate balance of your private dining room.
Thank you for clarifying your priorities. Rest assured, we’ve learned valuable lessons for any future visits—if we...
Read moreI visited this shop during lunch and ordered the Ayam Balado. Just sharing my personal experience: • We asked if we could have a different part of the chicken, like breast meat, but were told that only drumstick is available. From my point of view, there’s no flexibility in choosing the chicken part, which was disappointing. • I bought a drink separately, and together with the Ayam Balado, the total came to over RM40. Personally, I feel that’s quite overpriced for what was served. • The Ayam Balado alone was RM30, and in my opinion, it didn’t stand out in taste or presentation to justify the price.
To me, the shop seems to be targeting Singaporean customers, with pricing almost double the local average. When we visited during lunch hour, there were no other customers, which might reflect the...
Read moreVisited this restaurant after seeing its high Google rating. The environment is indeed very pretty and cozy – lots of greenery, rattan furniture, comfy sofas with pillows, warm lighting, and Instagrammable corners that look great in photos. Service was prompt and attentive. Sadly, the food did not live up to the setting. The signature seafood thaibonara was poor with little ingredients. To make it worse, the prawns didn’t taste fresh at all which was quite disappointing. The grilled calamari was decent, but overall the food quality felt much below average for the price. On the way out, I noticed they offer free ice cream if you leave a Google review, which might explain why the rating is so high. Honestly, not really worth a visit unless your main aim is to take...
