Molten Chocolate Café — Restaurant in Johor

🍫🧇 Food & Taste: Drinks not as good as the desserts. Desserts are not bad. The milk chocolate sauce was thick and creamy.

📍 Place: The whole place looks very quiet with few customers in it.

🤵🏻 Service: Bad service. The place was almost empty but staff was nowhere to be seen and then we had to walk into the place to sit ourselves down. The wait staff takes her own time to serve. Placed our orders after calling the staff over to take our orders and the food took really a long time to be prepared and brought to table, even when there are no customers. I think there is like only one person preparing the food and drinks. I think what was worst was the drink they delivered was wrong and the staff didn’t even informed that they had delivered what wasn’t our order. We had to clarify ourselves and then the staff admitted that the drink we ordered wasn’t the right one but it was like we were made to accept it since nothing else can be done. They shrugged it off. Disappointed with the nonchalant attitude and service.

I recently visited Molten Chocolate Café, excited to satisfy my sweet cravings with their famed molten chocolate dessert. The allure of rich, gooey chocolate had been on my mind for weeks, and I couldn’t wait to indulge. However, upon arriving, I was disheartened to discover that the only seating available was outdoors, and the weather was unbearably hot.

The outdoor setup, while charming, was not conducive to enjoying a warm dessert. The sun was blazing, and the thought of savoring a molten chocolate cake in such sweltering conditions felt unappealing. I imagined myself sweating while trying to enjoy the rich flavors, which diminished my enthusiasm.

Despite the tempting menu, I ultimately decided to leave the café without placing an order. It was disappointing, as I had looked forward to this treat, but comfort is key when it comes to enjoying dessert. I hope that in the future, Molten Chocolate Café will offer more indoor seating options, especially during hot weather, to enhance the overall dining experience. We had the sizzling chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream and it really blew us away! The mint hot chocolate was so beautifully crafted we didn’t bear to drink it.

All the chocolate used was of high quality and they were thick but not too overbearing.

Will go back to try the crepes, waffles, fondues etc. the atmosphere was very chill and zen as well, in such a busy mall, giving us a good respite from the crowd. And service was prompt and attentive and friendly.
