I am a food lover who enjoys travelling and to hunt for food. I am also a frequent food hunter in Malaysia, especially Johore Bahru as I am from across the causeway. Being neighbours, we have lots of similarities especially in customs, traditions and food. Today I went over for lunch, and my favourite meal is literally Nasi Lemak. And not being biased, I really love Malaysian Nasi Lemak as they have many different versions of it and the portions are never disappointing. Other than that, my family and I also had the Oriental Prawn Noodles, Oriental Chicken Hor Fun, Kaya toasts and Portuguese Tarts. Honestly speaking, the foods are AWESOME! I give the foods ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+⭐. The service are great, the staffs were Friendly, from the ushers, to the servers and not forgetting the check out staffs. All were smiling, greeting and polite, not just to us customers but also to the own staffs. They were swift and served us in a very diligently. Saying all that, there is one particular thing that caused me to give a rather low stars review. It is the music. I know that the idea is to show some ambience of an Oriental feeling. Bit somehow, this time theusic doesn't work that well. Not just being loud, but maybe a little too much of traditional music may literally caused some turning off towards the whole mood. The louder the music, the louder customers tend to make. I doubt any of us are just too deliberate to show our customs/traditions just to show our identity, right? Where I am from and wherever I have been, I don't think they really need to blast some "vintage" music loudly to attract customers. In view of the above, I have no intention to offend anyone at all. But may I suggest, maybe choose a more soothing music (even traditional ones);which I am sure we can find easily online or in stores or just simply not to bast theisic too loudly. All in all, we will return again as we really love the food and surroundings at the Oriental Kopi, Tebrau.

Our experience at Oriental Kopi in Aeon Tebrau was nothing short of exceptional. Despite a long queue, the efficiency of the staff ensured a fast-moving line, and we were comfortably seated within 20 minutes on a bustling Saturday afternoon. The menu was a feast for the eyes, with each dish promising a tantalizing culinary adventure. Choosing what to order was a delightful challenge in itself! The dry mee siam packed a punch with its spicy kick, yet it was incredibly flavorful, leaving us craving for more with every bite. The herbal chicken soup was a testament to authenticity, brimming with rich Chinese herbs that offered both comfort and nourishment—a true tonic for the soul. And let's not forget the heavenly Belgian chocolate egg tarts that melted in our mouths, leaving us in dessert bliss. The chilled butter on the polo bun was an absolute revelation, elevating a simple snack to a gastronomic delight. The Nasi Lemak, a signature dish, lived up to its reputation and exceeded our expectations with its aromatic rice and delectable accompaniments. The Kampung Mee Hoon was a hit with the children, proving to be a crowd-pleaser with its comforting flavors and satisfying textures. In summary, Oriental Kopi at Aeon Tebrau deserves every bit of praise it receives. From the efficient service to the delectable dishes that tantalize the taste buds, it's a culinary gem that leaves a lasting impression.

Recommended by an ex-colleague to come to one of their branches and have a try! Super worth, super nice! Portion is great and generous ingredients. We had the nasi lemak, Chili pan mee, penang kway teow, Kaya butter toast, mango sago w ice cream, cendol, Mango and grass jelly and drinks like Michael jackson and sour plum. The chilli pan mee was great, not too salty, not too dark. Spice level was great as well! Fish cake was a great addition to it. The kway teow had the ✨wok hey✨ we all singaporeans love. Would recommend! Nasi lemak was not dry at all, chicken leg was tender and had a hint of curry spice which was really nice. The kaya butter toast was thick and filled with the spread all through out, for those who love gao gao kind of toast, this is for you. The michael jackson reminded me of my poly days (drank that almost every other day in school 🤣), kopi (no sugar) butterAnd also the sour plum was so refreshing it had a hint of mint as well! Desserts were super tasty, not too sweet, mangoes were sweet highly recommend! (my mum really enjoyed the coffee as well, no sour after taste) Overall super good food and great service, everyone was friendly and helpful :) Enjoyed my experience there. Menu is extensive and can cater to almost any taste buds (esp for sporean/msian)! Would recommend anyone who’s looking to eat local food/nostalgia 💀 Would definitely come back here again!

On December 17, l was real, real disappointed when l was there at 10.35am for the morning snack n 1 Penang char kuey teow, which l was told by your male server that this item will be served at 11.00am onwards. As we were seating at the far end booth n was guided by one of the female greeter, l had no issue about her. Food: Set breakfast was served WITHOUT BOILED EGGS, needed to raise my hand n reminder your male server n surprisingly it arrived at 10 minutes late, without any apologies. Next, my Pckt was forgotten to served till 11.39am when l checked with at least 3 of your servers from 11.15 am onwards n 3 of them gave me a lame excuse that the food will be coming in 5 minutes time. Allowed me to add in, there was NO PROPER SUPERVISION IN THIS OUTLET, n your servers WERE NOT SHOWING ANY INTEREST, POOR SOP, POOR WORK ETHICS, ATTITUDE MANNER EVEN NO SUPERVISOR OR MANAGER AROUND. REALLY PISSED OFF WITH WITH THIS UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICES WITHOUT THINKING WE WERE PAYING SERVICES CHARGE TO YOUR Oriental kopi. Later, l came to notice that your male lead man, who wearing glasses who was earlier handed us the menu n mini order chit was seen with the team of production, shooting team. I can understand your OK( Oriental kopi) needed publicity or so called MEDIA APPOINTMENT. At least, he SHOULD assigned someone to ACT, look into this operation, observed n ease the situation BUT IT WAS NOT ADHERED AT ALL, DESPITE WE RAISED OUR HANDS FOR ATTENTION, n not coming in for "EXTRA PROBLEMS OR TROUBLES BECAUSE WE WERE REAL HUNGRY, N NEEDED A BITE. ALSO OBSERVED OTHER DINERS RAISED THEIR HANDS FOR YOUR SERVER'S ATTENTION. Lastly, we like to bring to your attention on the proper cleanliness, hygienic at the far corner booth. Can your Senior Management considered to solve that houseflies problem. We were dining our shares n that uninvited houseflies were also "fighting for it share, too. Or at least ,your servers noticed that "sharing sight" should at least cleared, removed the soiled dishes BUT THEY JUST INGORE, CARELESS, LAUGHING N SPOKE SOME LANGUAGE THAT I CAN SEE FROM THEIR FACIAL EXPRESSIONS. On this point, l recommended basic course for them to understand the importance of food n beverages services n hope they took their jobs with pride, serious n customers care. Also, got your servers n kitchen crew to work together as the team, n avoided gave uncleared, distorted messages to diners that the food is coming in 5 minutes BUT IT TOOK ALMOST 39 MINUTES TO ARRIVE AT OUR TABLE, I CONSIDERED THAT WAS A LUXURY Pckt, despite l wrote on your order chit "NO SPICY & CAN WAIT". Would appreciate the Oriental kopi management or your office LOOK...
