Review for Sanook Kitchen – AEON Mall Tebrau City
We had a truly satisfying meal at Sanook Kitchen in AEON Mall Tebrau City on 15 July 2025. The restaurant has a clean, comfortable setting and offers authentic Thai flavours at very reasonable prices.
We ordered the Clear Tom Yum Prawn Soup, Prawn Omelette, Deep Fried Chicken, Stir-Fried Thai-Style Kang Kong, and Stir-Fried Minced Chicken — every dish was flavorful and well-executed. The Tom Yum soup was refreshingly tangy with a nice spicy kick, and the prawns were fresh and juicy. The prawn omelette was fluffy and rich, while the deep-fried chicken was crispy on the outside and tender inside. The stir-fried kang kong had that perfect wok hei taste, and the minced chicken was aromatic and satisfying with Thai basil seasoning.
Service was friendly and efficient, and the staff made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal.

Read moreA restaurant serving Thai cuisine. The dishes featured are slightly different compared to others. Nice ambience for small group gathering for family and friends. Dishes served size is average with quite reasonable price. The ingredients used in cooking is fresh. We had "pineapple fried rice"👍👍👍. Other than the usual cashew nuts and raisins..it also put in fried fish slice, prawns (big) and squid slices. Tomyum soup too is nice. Not too spicy or over powering sour. Stir fried mix vegetable is also recommended. The "Thai fish cake" can give it a skip. As for dessert....we had "chendol". Is nice with not too sweet. Food are served fast and hot. However floor service crew can be improved. The floor managers are very attentive to customer needs and attends to it immediately but junior crew service has much need for...
Read moreJust back from Aeon Sanook restaurant. Food is quite small portion and on the sweet side like Malay food. We need to ask for extra plate as they don't have initiative for our 4 person sharing. 2 rice only 2 plates given.
Overall service is very slow with grouchy looking Muslim staff. We requested for dessert to come later but we had yet to finish our dinner and table so messy they promptly put the mango glutinous rice on our messy small table. We had to clean own table then have space for dessert sharing. Very impolite staff. Mango too much sugar syrup.
Lady only gave 2 fork for a group of 4 person to share. We had to ask for more fork but since service very slow we DIY take it sigh.
As it's still CNY we did not kick up a fuss but felt very uncomfy in this restaurant. I won't...
