Visited 14 July 2023 Cold rainy Friday. The following sharing are based on our unbiased personal opinion and experience We are traveling out for a short stayca at our neighbouring country Johor Bahru. The traffic at checkpoint was surprisingly pretty good today, it took us 20 mins to clear both end checkpoint which is impressive (if not it remains like this everyday) We reach this Bak Kut Teh stall and decided to grab our lunch. We order a 2 pax portion BKT with additional ingredients i.e pork balls, pork liver, pork belly, kidney, button mushrooms, enoki mushrooms etc After 10 minutes wait, lunch was served piping hot. First taste at their soup base, it lack the umami and the punch compare to the BKT in Taman Sentosa. Still it's pretty decent and edible still. Total bill came up to RM 117, not the cheapest I would say but for the same price I would choose to stick to the stall at Taman Sentosa.

This place has been around for more than a decade and is usually popular with weekend Singaporean customers. Their bak-kut-teh is the clear soup type and customers can choose what they want to add in besides bak-kut. There are mushrooms, bacon pieces, liver, clams, sea asparagus and other pig organs. The organs are very thoroughly cleaned. They also offer fish soup in claypot. So you might want to try something different if you happen to be on your way pass Taman Sentosa to Permas Jaya. Service is friendly but prices are abit upmarket. Ambience is cool and good for family. 1. They don't have "tau kee" for your selection. It may disappoint some customers 2. Their black sauce is sour instead of sweet. It might spoil the taste overall for some

My family had been patronising this particular restaurant for many years. If you are looking for an air-conditioned place, thick herbal soup, non-MSG BKT, this is not for you. Soup is clear and light, nicely flavoured, home cooked comfort food. The top-up of the soup is quite limited. Steam red grouper fish head is nice (but expensive). I’m a Singaporean who spend Malaysia Ringgits like the locals. From time to time I will also bring my fishing kakis here for quick lunch before we headed up to Rompin for fishing. Today I had 2 claypots (added more ingredients), 2x 油条,1x TauPok, 1x salted vege, 9x small rice, 1 pot Chinese tea (dbl pack tea leaves) RM169. Daughter’s favourite place for BKT, so I will come back here again soon.

One pax soup rm16 Add straw mushroom liver razor clams rm25 Steamed slice fish rm65! 6 small pieces + 1 fleshless full bone piece Big rice rm2 Taupok rm5

Feedback to lady boss her fish portion was so small yet rm65, her reply was the typical defensive and 'I think you are a joke' kind of reply. She said it's like that one.. standard.. then later part proceeded to talk to the boss, think is her hubby about me saying about their fish. And both laughed it off.

It was just a feedback for your business. Don't wish to take fine.. don't have to give smirks and think your price and food is the best.

Very very bad experience.. I hope people read all their reviews before deciding to patronise them.

So many other yummy food with better pricing and most importantly SERVICE in JB.. good luck...
