Restoran Yew Swee — Restaurant in Johor

Was just around the corner and decided to give this place a try. I heard about the Yew Swee laksa not sure if this is the same. Visited on a morning and there was no crowd. I decided to give both the lor mee and the laksa a try because I heard this place is quite popular for these 2 dishes. I was worried I can't finish so I asked for small for both, but when served the portion looked so big I was shocked. First I tried the lor mee. I didn't put anything extra since I wanted to try the original taste, but turned out the gravy was a little salty for my liking. The small portion was big and there were a lot of noodles, I could see that there were quite a fair bit of ingredients but they were quite insignificant in taste while eating it. The gravy also started to turn watery quite quickly while eating. Next had the laksa which I thought was the highlight. I loved how thick the gravy was though I had the impression that a lot of the laksa in JB tends to be on the watery side. This was exactly the consistency I was looking for. Portion was also quite big and the ingredients were much bigger and noticeable while eating. Given a choice would come back for the laksa again, but the lor mee is also...

Tried this stall selling curry laksa near KSL shopping centre during my last trip to JB. reached the place around 12noon Lunch time. Upon reaching, was greeted with alot of people here having their lunch. after some searching, managed to find a table near the entrance. Went over to the stall and proceed to order my food. Apart for their laksa, they also sell lor mee and mee hoon kuay. i also noticed a plate of fried items for customer to chose to go with the noodle. Decided to pick one prawn fritter to go with my laksa. The laksa comes in 3 sizes and price starts from MYR10 onwards.

Food didn't took long to be ready. The bowl of laksa came with ingredient like cockles, tauki, taupok. laksa gravy is actually very nice to drink. Smallest portion is actually quite little, would have ordered the medium portion next time. Prawn fritter is also a must order, it was very crispy and the flavor was on point.

By far the nicest laksa i have tried ...
