Read moreFront Office and housekeeping are bad!||SHAKINA, who checked us in, was lousy and dishonest about room status. Kept asking us to take a seat and wait. 10 mins, 30mins , made us take a look at an apartment if they can moved us when we booked for a suite, then afterwhich we still have to approach them to ask if room is ready!!!!! Which is not again. At this time told us the room is not good condition to stay, so they needed more time to clean another room.||We had to go for dinner and collect keys 9pm. Given a room prior to rest and they will assist room move. However, at 9 p.m., when we approached front office to collect the suite keys , we were told to return the keys of the temporary room to front office after we shifted the luggage on our own. Isn't it a norm that you should do a room move as form of service!? Then .... the whole stay experience NO APOLOGY NO SERVICE RECOVERY. Best thing, received a notification that the check in time is after 3pm and request for early check in sibjectvto availability. I was there only after 3.30pm , waited at lobby till 4.45pm. Prior to checked in , we still received a notification from Hotel that we are able to check in between 3.00pm to 4.00pm. Just admit and offer apology and service recovery if you fail!!! Stop giving your customers excuses with your arrogant faces and attitude. We DID not even request for early check-in!!!! Don't make it sounded like it's our fault. ||Housekeeping is lousy, poor cleanliness, and subject standard work! Room was not cleaned and made up. Basin in the room can't be drained as it is faulty. Could not add in all the room photos I took due to the limitation of 4 pictures to be uploaded. When they make up the room, they did not clean the basin. Amenities was dumped onto the tray like, is this the norm standard ? Towels was not given a new set, wet floor mat still there. Read moreThe outside of the hotel looks decent enough. Breakfast is not bad . Banquet Ballroom is also not bad . THE ROOM HOWEVER IS TERRIBLE AND THE SERVICE TOO. First room , I literally came in to the room and needed to use the toilet. WATER PIPE BURST . Didn't have a pic of it . Called and live chat with the hotel side . It took them 45 mins to come to the room. They then changed and upgraded us to another room . Second room , the wall had some problem . I took a pic of it . It's attached to this review. I called and live chat the hotel again . It took them 30 mins to come up . The manager then called the maintenance guy to just cement the wall infront of us . And then he stayed for over 1hr in the room checking the things around the room. He found the kettle wasn't working and changed it for us . When I reminded him to checked all these things before the guest checked in , his reply was "now too late ." I then asked to receive some customer recovery and he flat out rejected me . I wasn't asking for much . I was asking if I can get fruit platter or wine or anything on the house to compensate the time wasted . He said no . And he verbally forced my husband to exchange WhatsApp contact with him so that if in the future we want to stay in Grand Paragon Hotel again , we can contact him. And he said maybe he can give some discount then . 1 plate of fruits not possible but a discounted room is ?! We attended my friend wedding reception that was being held in the hotel . The server was ignorant of his duties . For the drink we had to wait like 30 mins for a glass of beer . His English was terrible and his Malay was subpar . I am fluent in Malay , English and Chinese . The staffs in the hotel can't hold a conversation much . Either voice too soft or attitude that just don't give a damn about anything .
