DRAMA ~ Din quite enjoy my RM9.90 nasi lemak rendang though the rendang was good (≧∇≦)b. WELL, IT WAS ALL BECAUSE OF EXTRA SAMBAL. Haiz... Din know I would end up being ...hmm...should I say....harrassed by the chef. ヽ(#゚Д゚)ノ┌┛)`Д゚)・;
Asked for extra sambal when I ordered knowing that it wouldn't be enough for me. Honestly, I LOVE SAMBAL. Upon receiving my food, I reminded the waitress again for extra sambal, only to have one of the chefs strolling out to my table, telling me to finish my sambal first before asking for more. (¯―¯٥)
With half of my nasi lemak left, I asked the waitress nearby for extra sambal as there was none left. Thankfully, the waitress came out after several minutes with some sambal for me though it was still not enough for me. I thanked her nicely, telling myself I gotta be kiam siap a bit with my sambal on my nasi this time so that enuff ma. Later, people boh song...howla...╮(╯_╰)╭
Minutes later, the chef came out again and strolled towards the table behind us and asked, " Do you need more sambal?" to which the customers declined. He then proceeded to my table and asked if I needed more sambal to which I declined as I was almost done with my meal.
He then went back to the kitchen and came out with almost a saucer full of sambal. I told him that I only had a spoon left and that there was really no point. He just put it on my table and left. ∑( ̄□ ̄;)
Speechless.... Then as I was paying my bills at the cashier, I saw him strolling to my table ...Zzzz...apa lagi... to spotcheck if I telan semua sambal or not.
Moral of the story.... I rather have my RM1.50-RM3 nasi lemak tepi jalan or at warung where whenever I ask for extra sambal, the makciks or pakciks will...
Read moreWe were shopping at Mid-Valley mall, South Key after our late breakfast and needed to rest our tiring legs. There were quite a few choices for cafes in the mall but we didn't want to go with the run-of-the-mill outlets that we can find back home. So we settled on Tokyo Secret. We saw the cafe when our Grab dropped us off earlier.
To our surprise the cafe is almost empty. It was clean and brightly lighted. We saw the cakes on display and my fiancée found interest in the Pandan Crepe cake. I was introduced to crepe cake when we visited her folks in her hometown. Yeah.. why not.. I can deal with pandan.
The Americano is nothing spectacular, as expected but definitely better than the usual Starbuck and Coffee Bean. The Hot Chocolate was pretty good. The cake however was quite disappointing. The layers are quite thick compared to those we had in her hometown and during our last trip in Penang. Khing Cafe as I recall the name of the cafe.
It would have been much restful experience except for the 2 little girls that decided to scream at each other. Apparently the adults has gotten used to their behavior. We tried to ignored them and make the best of it. So Tokyo Secret.. checked! If we ever venture into another one of this, not sure if they have other outlet, I will try...

Now, let's talk about the food. The sushi was a revelation. Each piece was a work of art, and the freshness of the ingredients was undeniable. The sashimi practically melted in my mouth, and the variety of rolls they offered catered to all tastes. The presentation alone was Instagram-worthy.
The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They helped us navigate through the extensive sake list, making sure we found the perfect pairing for our meal.
