This is not the first time I actually came to this outlet. The last time I stepped into their outlet was KLIA. In fact, I do not know what's so good about Oriental Kopitiam. Not much food selection. Mostly pricy. As for the drinks most of the drinks are the worse. The worse part I ordered lemon tea and already added sugar inside. Very disappointing. I would say they already prepared the drinks and added sugar and most of the drinks are already contain sugar which very unhealthy. What happens when people want to order something without sugar and they don't have. You know what happen? The person who took order for us and recommended us other drinks without sugar. I told the staff sorry I don't want. The problem with these outlets, why must make drinks which is already contain sugar. Honey lemon is considered sweet because it contains honey inside. For lemon tea which is totally unacceptable because already contain sugar inside. Why can't prepare lemon tea on the spot without sugar? To the boss of this company, dont ever make drinks and then add sugar and then when customer want to order, they don't want to order. People who do not know added sugar into the drinks which can lead...
Read moreThe staff here overall were very well trained and attentive. I applaud all the female staff (local and foreigner) for their politeness and helpful attitude. One particular male staff, I think his name is Rabin (Nepalese), was extremely attentive, polite and physically agile as he seems to be very quick yet careful, and alert when customers need any help. He ensured my request (no egg in my meal) was correctly stated in the order bill. Rabin also immediately grabbed a bag and put in all my separate takeaway food and desserts (that were initially separately given) into one big bag to avoid spillage, without me asking. While I was eating, I noticed he even carried 2 heavy bags full of food until the paying counter, for another table of middle aged ladies. I am so touched by his lovely gesture that many have forgotten. This branch is really fortunate to have all good staff here. Even the cashier staff (malay female) asked me to check if I had collected all the items I ordered for take away. At that time, nearly every staff wear the face mask correctly, except...
Read moreGood things deserve to be praised! I usually only get to enjoy Oriental Kopi when I'm traveling abroad and passing through airports. During Hari Raya Puasa, I happened to walk by this place and decided to stop in for some afternoon tea. The wait wasn't long, but since I only had tea, I didn't get to try much of the food.
I came back again last weekend, early in the morning to avoid the crowd. It was still quite busy, but luckily the queue moved fast. I really appreciated the effort of a Chinese staff member wearing a cap who was managing the seating—he was clearly doing his best to make sure customers didn’t wait too long, checking group sizes and arranging tables efficiently.
The food was delicious and just the kind I like. However, maybe due to how busy it was, one of my drinks never arrived, and I only noticed after I had almost finished my meal.
Overall, I’m happy with the experience and will definitely come back to try...
