Nagoya Seafood Restaurant寶立海鮮樓 — Restaurant in Kedah

In short, worst experience ever…

I will rather eat instant noodle and never come here again…

Here is the story….

It’s Chinese New Year eve and we book one day in advance a table of 5.

We reach there late and was told we need to wait for 3 tables to be served until our turn.

Since we are late, we are ok to wait and placed our order. While waiting, there other customer shown up with their reservation. We waited for one hour ++ but the food is not served yet. The dishes for the 3 tables are fully served. Customers from the 2 tables also left.

And we saw you guys start serving other customers who show up later.

We asked if our food was prepared by the chef… Surprisingly, you told us we need to wait and let the chef serve other customers who booked dinner package (RM488, RM688 and etc).

Okay, it seems like we ordered the ala-carte meal and you do not want to serve us?

If yes, we are ok if you tell us earlier. I know its CNY eve and you guys are busy. But we do not need to wait there for 1 hour++. And, you never inform us until we asked. We have 2 kids and one elderly who are waiting for food.

Guess what happens next? We left immediately, drop by a Malay stall and settle our dinner within an hour.

Nagoya Seafood restaurant? Personally, I think it does not even reach the standard of a Malay stall who treat the customer well.

P/s: I usually seldom write a negative review as I am an easy-going person. But this case...

Surprisingly there was no crowd during school holiday when I had my dinner here, apparently only me one table. The staff said that travel agency lunch just over, not sure how true it is.

The taste of the food is not bad but a bit warmer will be perfect. The price also not expensive, so far it is the cheapest compared to other restaurants that I had visted during my 4 days trip in Langkawi, it's much more cheaper than other restaurants somemore the atmosphere is decent unlike others which are already old.

You can find a lot other Chinese food...

WHAT YOU PAY IS WHAT YOU GET!!! Lesson learnt the hard way. The food was so. darn. TERRIBAD!!!

The tomyum soup. Ew. The seafood. Ew. The meat was so gross. The only edible stuff were the processed food i.e. crabsticks, fish cakes etc. which explains why what you pay is what you get.

I hated everything. It's a very depressing meal. This meal actually made me sad.
