Highly recommended if want to enjoy a cozy Irish pub in our local Malaysian atmosphere. Notably this is also the only Irish pub in Langkawi! Beautifully set up by owner with his collections from his travels and contribution of drawn art murals by a local Malaysian artist. My friend and I arrived here late afternoon but, the kitchen was closed and only reopened at 7pm. We were starving hungry however, both 3 lovely staff (Eunice, Petra and Alex) here were very nice, accommodating and still served us their Snacks Menu, with special Fish & Chips and Chicken Pie & Mash Potatoes. Thank you and thank you, for making both our trips so, memorable! This place is truly a gem in Langkawi and thumbs up for our wonderful experience! Love the cool environment, music, staff, food and drinks! Toilets are also beautifully decorated...
Read moreI have stopped by the Blarney Stone on 4 consecutive days. Overall, it's been a very good experience. Otherwise, I wouldn't have returned. I think all of the staff members are very nice and friendly. Good music plays, and much of it has accompanying videos. The Tiger beer isn't the cheapest in town, but it's reasonable. I had 4 meals. I'd say that 3 of them were either very good or excellent. Those were: filet mignon, pork chops and bangers with mash. I also had a hamburger meal that was barely edible. Kudos to the staff as I was asked about the quality of each meal. I was honest about that 1 bad meal and was given a free Tiger beer as a result. That was my 3rd visit. I appreciated that gesture and returned a 4th time and enjoyed the pleasant bangers and mash meal. I'm happy to recommend the Blarney...
Read moreThey say wherever you go, you’re never far from an Irish pub. Delighted to find this is also true in Kuah.
The Blarney Stone is a two-floored, authentic, Irish hospitality set in a newish complex - opened in 2023, so I just missed it last trip.
Fantastic food menu with a lot of choice - the bar snacks were fantastic, with ‘snacks’ underplaying the offer. Fine range of drinks too - Guinness, of course, and also mugs of Tiger. Five for four.
The atmosphere inside is nice, with pieces of Irish esoterica scattered around - art, objet d’art and other items. Televisions show sport and cooking. Laserdisc of Braveheart above the door.
Upstairs they have a gin club. I don’t drink gin in public, so didn’t partake. Seemed popular though.
Service was excellent, attentive and swift.
Will come back here...
