Warung Kita Langkawi — Restaurant in Kedah

To be honest, this is the best warung i've ever eaten for breakfast/lunch in Langkawi. Period

Warung is near to Langkawi Tourism Academy, Morac Adventure Park & Helioutpost Langkawi! (5 mins by car). You see the warung from you left side.

We're been here for 2nd time cuz we know the food here is the best. Warung Kita Langkawi offer you variety choices dishes of Malay cuisines. I guess the community here at Langkawi more rice than we at Lembah Klang there! Cuz for breakfast only they serve 3 type of rice (Nasi putih/Nasi Kandar/Nasi Lemak). Alot of variety of dishes you can try; which is Paru Sambal, Ikan sambal, Sunny side Egg, Chicken Curry, Ayam Masak Merah, Nasi Lemak, Nasi Dagang, Nasi Kandar, Laksa/Laksam (open at 9.00 A.M) & many more!

I can tell you malay cuisines are exotic & are mostly spicy. They are also available in a range of other flavors, such as, sweet, sharp, & sour, which are created through the use of items including ginger , tamarind, cloves, lime, & lemon grass. That's why it is so good!

As you can see, The Warung well organised & clean, the staff there especially the abang sangatla generous.The warung open at 6.00 AM - 2.00 PM daily (Close on Tuesday). Parking area is available & don't you worry cuz they prepare the Covid-19 SOP guideline (Sanitizer/MySejahtera).

We came for breakfast, 10 adults and 1 child. Some of us had nasi lemak and some had nasi dagang plus drinks. No one took more than one lauk be it chicken, fish or squid. Some of us didn't take any for the nasi lemak. The bill came down to a whopping RM97. That is average RM9 per person including the child who only had plain nasi lemak (no sambal or other usual condiments) with boiled egg and milo.

We were seated in 3 separate tables. Each table had its own bill. We personally feel that the owner marked-up the price for each table thinking that we would pay separately, but we paid together so he probably felt guilty when the cumulative bill for 3 tables was high so he gave us a discount of RM5. We dont want discount, we just want to be charged with the real normal price.

Best to display the price of ALL the food items so customers would know how you calculate the bill. We were planning to have breakfast there for 2 days during our stay in Cenang but after the 1st day, we never come again. The food was tasty but we can't help feeling cheated and disappointed. Was it because we were outsiders? It wasn't about us not being able to pay, we can afford to pay more, but no one likes being scammed to pay more...

Outstanding. One of the best warungs we ate at in our holiday on Langkawi. Everything here was completely delicious - I had a terrific fish with okra and sensational honey chicken, while husband had fantastic beef and lamb dishes. Even the crispy fried chicken, which our kids have been eating for every meal because they can't eat chili, was melt-in-the-mouth tender, with a lovely turmeric coating. We got some extra chicken to take away and feed the kids again for dinner, because it was that good. Staff were welcoming too. Basic atmosphere because it's on a main road, but hey who's looking at that when you have makan like this...
