Nasi Lemak Ngossek Bonda — Restaurant in Kelantan

What we love best here is the sambal. Here in Kelantan, it is well known to have sweet tasting foods. However, they have sambal with 3 level of spiciness, from not spicy (called as manis here), medium and very spicy.

Both of us ordered nasi lemak sambal pedas, with paru and ayam goreng each. Please note that boiled egg, cucumber and fried anchovies + peanut is already included.

For those who dine in, there is also free watermelon and cold water.

This restaurant use the concept of self service. Hence, you need to queue for nasi lemak, and order your drinks together with ordering your nasi lemak. And please ensure to bring all the used cutleries into a basin and wrapper into the bin. But, for drinks, you will be served once ready.

Overall, the resto is clean, kids friendly.

But the downturn is limited parking spaces.

A very good place to have nasi lemak with variety sides to choose from such as fried chicken, shrimp, squid, paru. Also get to choose the sambal extra spicy or moderate spicy which give a bit spicy taste(make you kind of sweat if you spicy tolerance is low 😂) Also, priced more to cheap sides considering it's in the middle of kota bharu city. Had the nasi lemak with paru berlado and cockles, both super tasty! Sambal is spicy just the way I like it and portion is generous enough to share. What makes it special is you can choose your sambal spicy, regular or sweet. The nasi lemak set is complete with boiled egg, anchovies, peanuts and cucumber, unlike most I’ve tried in KB.
