Vanilla House — Restaurant in Kelantan

After reading the impressive 4.9 Google Review, my family and I decided to give this place a try. It was our first visit, and we were excited to explore the menu and indulge in some delicious food. On this particular visit, we opted for the limited-time Merdeka Combo Set instead of the regular dishes. Unfortunately, we were left disappointed. We should have inquired about the dish beforehand, and I regret not taking a photo first. The food didn't live up to our expectations - the meat and seafood were coated in a flour-like tempura but lacked any accompanying sauce. Furthermore, they tasted dry and salty, despite the availability of self-serve tomato and chilli sauce at the counter. The watermelon slice was disappointingly small, and the iced lemon tea felt like an instant mix. The only saving grace was the generous portion of rice. It felt more like a kids' meal rather than a satisfying dining experience. If we had known about the quality of the food beforehand, we would have stuck to the regular dishes instead. So, I have been here for a couple of time and this will be the review of the place for the time.

First visit, I ordered the lemon pasta. (It was my first time eating it.)It was quite sour and the portion was huge that I need to bring them back home. The chicken was crispy and juicy. I ordered the Oreo Milk which was so good. I thought it was a milkshake turns out it was a drink with ice. I wish the drink has more since I finished it quickly.

Second visit, I went there and order the chicken burger and Oreo Milk. The chicken burger was quite big and the crispy chicken has a bit of oil dripping from them. The fries was so crispy and has a salty tangy taste that combined well with the sauce. Again, I couldn't finished all so I packed it up.

Third visit, I went there to order takeout of Spaghetti Bolognese and Oreo Milk. The taste of the spaghetti is alright and the meatball is juicy.

Fourth visit, I ordered Chicken Burger with oreo milk for takeout. When I got home, I noticed the oil from the chicken was dripping, not a lot but it was noticable. Especially, when I try to bite into it. The portion is big so I need to eat each one and...

Our 2nd visit so far, ambience is cozy, child friendly w baby chair option available. There's both outdoor and air conditioned seatings, for those who prefer fresh air can opt for open air seats.

Food taste wise is good, reasonably priced....
