This place, which has been around for at least 14 years (earliest food blog found was 2010), is for the night owls. Not a fan of porridge but this place have me renewed hope. Dig into a filling, hot claypot of thick, silky smooth porridge. Comes either white or pumpkin with a variety of choices of ingredients. Had the dried oyster & peanut pumpkin porridge (nice chunky pieces of oyster), pork & salted egg porridge (delicious) and frog porridge (simpler flavour with fresh tasty meat). Also ordered the pan fried egg + preserved vegetables (comfort!), fermented tofu pork (crazy good fatty pork belly!) and chinese churros (so-so). Half air-conditioned but don't expect shopping mall type comfort. You'd probably feel more warm and a bit sweaty. That's the price to pay for comfort food in the wee hours of the morning.

I don’t usually write reviews, especially negative ones but this really deserves it. I’ve usually been coming here to eat porridge whenever the weather is cold especially since it’s so nearby. But I’m never going to order your oysters add-on again! I ordered to add into my pork and salted egg porridge earlier tonight and guess what, ITS NOT FRESH!! Yeah please throw that batch out! I’m having Lao sai now from 11pm until 3am as I’m writing this post. FFS if it’s not fresh don’t serve anymore la. thanks...
