Do not ever come for dinner I stand for 10 mins trying to get an order but the captain were busy walking around like headless chicken and grumpily ignoring customer order (he'd even pick up call and ask customer not to call and order because he's too busy) Finally I got hold of him but upon seeing that I was carrying my own container for take out, he looks displeased and told me container not allowed (I ask him what's the diff if you serve it in plate, and I will put into container myself? Though I dint get my answer at the end) Awkward silence for another 5 mins while he ignored me and take other order.. Finally he's willing to take my order then comes my next obstacles, he ask me why did had to order fried german pork knuckles as it would take 45 mins of cooking time, I told him no problem as I am prepared to wait for it Finally i thought I am going complete my mission impossible of getting my dinner, the guy return with good news that he's going to give me his relative order (pork knuckle which is almost finished cooking) so that I won't have to wait too long. 10 mins later the guy told me it's sold out and he suggest I go for stew pork knuckle which is also delicious. I told him no thx and I immediately leave the restaurant knowing that I will never ever return to a restaurant in which I have been visiting frequently for about 20 years. Honestly, the amount of disrespect you get from here is simply too much, they will make you feel like you're a begger asking for free food. Please re-consider before visiting this place, don't give them the chance to ruin...
Read moreThis Kopitiam has about 7 stalls offers Char Kuey Teow, Chicken Rice, Wan Tan Mee, Curry Mee, Hakka Mee, Hakka Mee, Pork Noodle, Fish Head Noodle, "Sang Har" Big Prawn Fried Niodle, etc for morning. At night, only has Chinese Dai Chao
Atmosphere: 3🌟 Quite old and could use refurbishes. Some stalls don't seem to get washed often hence cleanliness for some of them may not be that good. Tables and chairs are quite okay some of them, rather sturdy and decently clean. Quite a lot of fans so still it's decently okay during the afternoon heat.
Service: 3.5🌟
Morning/Afternoon Stalls
Food: Wan Tan Mee 3.75🌟 Noodle 4🌟, Sauce 3.75 🌟, Broth 3.5🌟, Dumplings 3.5🌟 Small one with dumplings. Comes with 3 dumplings and some veg. I love the noodles, not the usual ones as the texture is very nice and hard though not very QQ/curvy. The sauce is also very good and flavorful but can be salty so dip with care. Dumplings are medium small but can feel the fillings (pork and others) are fresh. Priced at Rm 8.50 (Rm 10 for Medium Dumpling)
Evening/Night Stalls.
Food: Hokkien Mee 3.5🌟 Good portion of noodles and ingredients. The flavor is quite good and balanced even though it seems to lack Char taste....
Read moreI finally got to taste the Instagram famous flying noodles with fresh live prawns. I didn't waste my time going to Yong Hua Restaurant, Old Klang Road for this. Gimmick aside, I just love the sauce of this noodle. It was tasty to the last drop. The wantan noodle soaked up this sauce real quick and when softened, every mouthful was a savoury delight. There is a distinct huadiao wine in it. I also ordered his stir fried chee cheong fun with preserved radish. The preserved radish was an integral part as the chee cheong fun is tasteless so you just scoop up both with your spoon to enjoy this dish fully. Uncle Botak claimed he invented this flying noodle by dousing hot oil onto the noodle while it was held up by a pair of chopsticks. He also claimed to have invented the stirr fried CCF dish. It does not matter to me because he did serve up two very delicious fried noodles and that alone he deserves the accolades.
There is another stall in this restaurant that has really good wantan noodle. The sauce is savory unlike most that are sweet. My friend also tried another stall that sells seafood noodle and she thought it was good. I didn't get to try The seafood noodle as I was too preoccupied with the...
