New cafe at OUG. Walked in without any expectations and walked out a new fan.
The interior design lacked cohesion but Iâm gonna excuse that đ haha. The front windowâs really cute tho.
The menu was still very new, with just a few items, but itâs pretty solid. The food that they offered were very simple yet delicious. We ordered:
Pan Seared Chicken Rice Bowl the dish came with salt pepper chicken, with the side of green onion, onsen egg and and stir fried chilli. A really good and unexpected combination l didnât feel âmuakâ because of of the stir fried chilli. Onsen egg will always go well with rice bowls. Personally hate green onions but found it acceptable in this case.
Cincalok fried chicken Super crunchy and flavourful. Didnât know whatâs in the dipping sauce but itâs bomb. Itâs slightly tangy and complemented the fried chicken very well. Can compete with Table and Apronâs fried chicken.
Semai Bold 72% Extremely rich iced chocolate. The slight bitterness made it loads better than the usual sweet and milky iced chocolate. Will try it hot next time. I think itâll be even nicer if itâs not diluted with ice.
To top it off, the service crew was pretty friendly. Definitely will return again. Hopefully theyâll add more items...
Read moreYunShu is likely my go to place for coffee but disclaimer here is I'm not a coffee connoisseur and I have yet to attend any coffee appreciation classes... And prior to 2020, I was strictly a hot choco kinda person so take my opinion with a pinch of salt.
The neighbourhood has no shortage of cafes, many of them 1 to 2 years old, and many of them are nice... and largely the same but there's just something about the coffee here at YunShu that gives it a special kinda kick.
Aside from coffee, they have limited choices for food but what they have is good along with the occasional cakes.
You can't go wrong with the bagels and they offer quite a few choices. The slightly crisped crust is just the way I like it as well. Good for a light meal or breakfast... (Note: Pls. bring back the soft shell crab bagel... đ¤)
Ambience here is nice and it offers a very nice relaxing shelter from the heat... And the rain. Proprietor and staff are a nice and friendly lot.
Plus point is they are also pet-friendly, for those of you who want to bring yours.
They are not the largest cafe around but seats are well spaced out and it is cozy.
Definitely worth checking out if you're ever...

Their coffee special menu is surprisingly great, always offering something unique and memorable that keeps me coming back to try new things. Beyond the stellar coffee, they also serve up great bagels and delicious meals, expanding their appeal beyond just a quick coffee stop. For a cafe menu of this caliber and quality, I'd confidently say the prices are more than reasonable. While parking can occasionally be annoying in the area, if you're lucky enough to snag a spot right at the front door, it's the cherry on top. Regardless, the exceptional coffee, fantastic food, and innovative spirit make Yunshu an extremely satisfying cafe experience every...
