Month & Year: August 2023
Order & Price: Lemon grass salad(Small) - RM35.00 Pineapple fried rice(Small) - RM15.90 Tomyum bihun soup - RM15.90 Tako - RM1.50 Durian mochi - RM7.60 (RM3.80/pc) Iced water - RM1.80 (RM0.90) SST 6 % = RM4.66 Total amount= RM82.35
Taste: Was sceptical about it tasted wood-ish but it's damn good. Every single part of the dish is well-balanced, with the dried shrimp being the star. A portion is enough for two people as an appetizer. Tad pricey though. 5 for taste, 3 for price. 4/5
One of the best pineapple fried rice I've eaten. Even better than Absolute Thai. Have 6 pieces of shrimp and the portion is enough for one. 5/5
Asked for less spicy, and the Cina dude (I guess the son of the owner?) double confirmed "kurang cili? Boleh2" which is totally the right decision. It's spicy but you won't be sweating on top of your head (just around your eyes) when sipping it all up. The bihun is A LOT, as much as the soup itself. Comes with 1 shrimp, almost ⅓ squid around 10cm in length, half of a small crab, loads of mushroom for RM15.90?? Damn worth every cent. 5/5
The tako is the weakest of all. It tasted...just okay. Creamy enough but less sweet. Maybe because I had it right away after the durian mochi. 3/5
Minimum order for this is 2 pieces but trust me, 1 is not enough. It is served almost frozen. It is quite hard to describe the texture but the mochi-ness is perfect for me. The filling is pure durian flesh that's almost frozen (a bit harded than soft-serve ice cream). 5/5
It's water lah. 90 cents per glass. Dunno if refillable or not. Didn't ask.
Portion: Read above. Malas mau taip balik.
Halal: Halal certified, although the certificate expires in 2019. I think there's another certificate inside near the counter that's current but didn't double check.
Service: Attentive and friendly. Good suggestion of dishes (although I did go there having done my homework and knowing what to get).
Payment method: QR Pay, Cash, Cards
Ambiance: Cozy, cool enough, not too noisy, perfect distance between tables. Went for the chair with backrest instead of the kopitiam stool. My back is thankful for it.
Parking: Nightmare but I got lucky. Can park at Leisure Mall nearby but it's like a 200m hike.
Repeatability: Definitely will be back after the...
Read moreCame to cheras all the way to try out Ahroy Thai Cuisine and was definitely not disappointed! We made reservations as the place tends to get packed during peak hours and the parking around here is terrible so I would suggest coming early to find a spot.
We entered and loved the ambiance and the decor of the restaurant. Its very real to their thai roots and has a very classic look to it.
We came to try their lunch set which comes with free drink, tomyum sup and dessert.
We ordered :
Pineapple Fried Rice (RM18.90) Fried Minced Chicken with Thai Basil Leaves (RM18.90)
The fried minced chicken with thai basil leaves was amazing! The taste of the thai basil elevates the taste of the entire dish, it had all the thai flavours corporated very well together, loved it! The pineapple fried rice was amazing too filled with roasted cashews, raisins and juicy prawns and loads of pineapple! It tasted really good too 👍🏽
We had a choice of drinks to choose from their provided lunch set so we had :
Soya Cincau Iced Lemon Tea
Since the set comes with a free dessert, you’ll be served the dessert of the day but if you want to change you’ll just have to add RM1, which is what we did 😅 we had :
Water Chestnut with Coconut Milk Thai Cendol
We lovedd the dessert ❤️ its not too sweet and came in a small and cute serving, perfect to end our lunch will definitely recommend these two desserts!
Overall we were very happy with the food and the service we got! And will definitely come back to try their other menu’s but definitely not during...
Read moreFriends invited us to have lunch here. Here got set lunch. However the price is quite pricey. The food is just so so, nothing special. To my surprise, the service is terrible, the staffs all are rude to customer. Nowadays haven't seen this scenario. The staff came with 3 wrong orders. Here they take ur order by memory, didn't write down ur order. & they didn't repeat what u have order. When they served the wrong mistake order, they said, if u want to change the order, u must tell early. Don't so late tell with harsh voice. The staff who speak malay said, APA, APA U MAU SEKARANG. MACAM MANA, MACAM MANA. APA U MAU?..... Seems like want to fight with us until we keep quiet. They made wrong order already & some more said we ordered wrong. Impossible so many of us heard & make the wrong order. Then after meal, we checked the google review only know the staff here keep making wrong order. During the meal, we asked to serve the dessert, however the chinese staff said dessert can only be served when everyone of us finish the main meal. So we all have to wait until the last of us finish which is so impractical. We came for lunch during or lunch working hours, we have different timing, some have to leave early, some can leave later. But dessert cannot serve early. This will be the first & last we come here. NOT RECOMMENDED unless u want to let them challenge u & accept bad...
