This cafe is located at the roadside of Jln Ipoh before Empat Tin traffic light opposite Lui Kopitiam ... Serving breakfast, pasta , Japanese rice , dessert n coffee ... I just came here for teatime ... The Onde-onde cake is okay ... not too sweet ... Like Pandan chiffon with some black sugar plus fresh desiccated coconut which is a plus point ... The texture is soft n the shape is a bit run off ... Portion is a bit small ... The Belgian Liege Waffle is okay ... Is the soft type which is not to my liking ... The Japanese Souffle is nice ... Soft n fluffy with a strong egg taste ... The portion is big ... a must try ... The Mushrooms Soup is not so nice with a funny taste ... It's a bit different from the normal handmade soup ... The Signature Dirty Coffee is okay ... taste is bitter with strong espresso but the texture is not smooth n the espresso dripping effect is not obvious ... Once u stir it , it will become an iced latte ... The Signature Molasses is just okay ... More or less the taste is like dirty coffee with a different of black sugar added thus it's slightly sweet if u stirred it ... The Signature Milk Tea Latte is nice ... Read moreThe Chicken Karaage was tender and juicy — definitely the highlight of the meal.
The Gui Hua Yee Mee was a mix of good and bad. The prawn was fresh and big, which was a plus. However, the noodles were dry and lacked wok hei. The overall taste was quite plain, the only noticeable flavor is only the egg. There was no umami depth, as if it wasn’t cooked with a proper stock.
The soufflé was fluffy as expected, but the portion was very small for the price, which made it feel underwhelming.
One major issue is the self-service sauce counter. It was dirty, with ants crawling around. The single-use sauce plates look cheap and not very classy. The green and red chilies, you need to open the lid and dig inside with a small spoon — very unhygienic and prone to contamination. This whole setup seriously needs improvement.
Lastly, I understand that the staff may be tired and need to rest, but it's not professional for them to take breaks by sitting at customer tables. It gives off the wrong impression.
There are some good points, but overall, the dining experience needs work — especially in hygiene, service etiquette, and food...
Read moreFirst of all, we have been waited 1 hour for the Japanese souffle and it ended up with disappointment. It is like a normal fluffy cake only, a bit tasteless.. The price is RM 19 and it's not worthy as the taste is under expectation and without any sides (exp fruits, more honey and etc). We found out that their staff actually baked soufflé at the coffee making area, because there were 3 soufflés inside the oven, and 1 of them was ours... Just wondering is it they wanna make few at once to save electricity? That's why we have to wait for so long? It's not fair for us who ordered first and waited 30mins the staff only started to bake and waited another 30mins. The menu clearly stated needs 25mins waiting time only...
The lady boss came to us and offered a piece of matcha chocolate cake for free reason being is that we have to wait for longer periods as they're still preparing it. Luckily the lady has the initiative to apologize for the long wait.
Lastly, their avocado cake is quite nice however it's quite small slice than usual. Overall, I would say the price range didn't match the value of money (taste, quality,...
