We arrived for dinner at approximately 6:00pm on a weekday, finding ourselves as the first patrons. Our reception was from the rather unfriendly lady owner, who did not appear to be Malaysian. Surprisingly, there were no menus or recommendations provided, so diners are expected to know what they want. The restaurant itself bears the marks of age, with a pronounced musty odor lingering indoors.

Referring to online reviews, we opted for several dishes, including the Fried Prawn & Yam Fritter (RM24.00), Sweet & Sour Pork (RM20.00), Thai Style Paku Vegetable (RM18.00), and Tofu Soup (RM24.00). These dishes were served in small portions. Additionally, we bought our own tea (RM3.00) and two portions of rice (RM4.00), resulting in a total bill of RM93.00. Considering the portion size and the dining ambiance, the pricing struck us as somewhat high.

In terms of taste, the Fried Prawn & Yam Fritter stood out for its crispiness, while the Sweet & Sour Pork left something to be desired. Unlike other restaurants, the version here resembled meatballs more than actual meat, with a pronounced flour taste. On a positive note, the Thai Style Paku was enjoyable for its crunchiness and refreshing flavour, and the Tofu Soup also received favorable remarks. The only notable letdown was the Sweet & Sour Pork.

However, it's worth mentioning that they provided complimentary desserts in the form of jellies, and the food was served promptly. Unexpectedly, they use rice of notably low quality. It is hoped that they can opt for a higher-quality rice...

A very authentic and traditional type of Chinese cooking that delivers all the old taste and memories of great dishes to your palate.

Seong Tong Yuen Choy (Spinach Soup) - the amount of ingredients and accompaniment that goes into the soup is fantastic. Not to mention the soup, which is so balance in taste and the umami is not overwhelming, and the killer is that it has the body with enough "fire" (lo for") after taste.

Paku Pakis Salad - first time having this vege as salad as it can be slimy. Over here, I am glad I tried it. It's not slimy, and the taste is just so nice. Not too sour, yet the sweetness is just a tinge to balance the taste.

Mau Tan (Peony) Prawns - this is supposed to be their signature. The prawns are very fresh and give you a mouthful. The yam is so fluffy and "cottony." However, all this goodness is taken away by the batter which has that metallic taste ( I guess it's baking soda) a tad too much.

Last but not least, the free of charge dessert Jelly/Agar Agar. Initially, I thought it's the plain old normal Agar Agar, but it's not. The taste is good, and the texture is like konyaku, the QQ texture when you bite. Very good.

Will we be returning? A definitely YES. While waiting for our dishes, we saw several dishes that were...

Lady boss is not honest. The price is being charges higher even we told them for a small portion. We used to order form the Boss and yesterday they charged us unreasonable price for a same portion of food.

We order from 2 different restaurant for take away so we order small portion for the food as usual. They charged us based on the people buy no what size dishes we have ordered .

During Covid I understand people is suffer especially restaurant but I don't think this is the reason they can take granted for . Just listen to what customers want and don't do u honest things and lost customers in the long term . Her husband is more honest and price charges is...

I went to this restaurant recommended by a friend. I had dinner on a weekday and it was pretty empty, which was great for me. The food is delicious and quite a few unique dishes as seen in the pictures, for example fish paste chicken was really good. I've been 2 times so far and I've got to say the portion sizes looked different for some reason, I'll give it a minus there. The staff was friendly, the food was speedy, parking can find just in front of the shop or nearby. Pricewise it was not expensive, around 20-25 rm for 2-3 person with 3-4 dishes, so acceptable. Will definetly go back and I highly recommend to try the fish paste chicken dish as well as others.
