Bar.B.Q Plaza @ Sunway Velocity KL — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

To be honest, this was the first time I went to a hotpot in KL and let me tell you that as an amateur home cook that it was an exhausting experience trying to figure out what to put in, where things go and when things are ready to be eaten. But I can't deny that it was fun.

I'm pretty surprised by the comments this place is getting because of its service. I personally didn't have an issue because most of the time the waiters were on standby and ready for my silly requests for strangely addictive cabbages and more butter. Food quality was alright, but considering that it was my first time the food tastes like how you cooked it. The pork tastes like pork, the fish like fish and the tofu was actually fish cakes so it tasted like fish (that one was on me though, I was not expecting that).

Will I come back for another hotpot, considering that I need to cook my own food and pay good money for it? Possibly, after my first time I think I've got a PhD in hotpot cooking now, maybe the next time will be...

I went to this outlet on 26.12.2021 at 4.30pm++. One of the best outlet I went so far. I ahve been eating Bar B Q plaza since year 2011. The portion are quite big (not like Sunway Pyramid I went last time). There were 2 waiter (foreigner). One of them service was top notch. Humble, polite, kind and serving without any reluctant. He entertain each and every request patiently. I tried asking another staff for his name but that staff refused to give. He was quite thin and small in size. Sometimes I just feel customer are too much and demanding. Every 5 min calling them for petty service. This causing their other works/tasks goes pending. Customer have to bit little considerate. Bad service. They upgraded to robot and automatically all the waiters suddenly become blind & act like they can't see customers anymore, even if u raise ur hand many many times all see also make dont know. Then if u call them because of wrong order given they'll show your black face goes to all waiters & cashier. They answer you very rude & unhappily as if we did pay the bill 🙄. When you want to pay your bill there is this chinese boy who sits in the cashier counter (in his own world with his ear plugs on cant even focus and hear what customer is saying).
