Hotpot Kitchen Sunway Velocity — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

This is my first time visiting this hotpot restaurant. Very bad experience, the staff's service attitude is bad. There were several staffs in the restaurant. We walked into the restaurant and there was no one to serve us and there is no clear way on how to place an order and pick up the food.

Okay then, we went to the food area and choose our meal. While we were choosing our meal, we asked a staff member what is the meat? Is it pork or beef? He saw us putting vegetables and meat in the same bowl, he didn’t say it couldn’t be done like that.

So we went to the counter to make payment before we can eat our hotpot. One of the female staff member wearing glasses at the counter weighed our food and disrespectfully slam the bowls on the table with a rude attitude while rolling her eyes at us.

But she didn't tell us what happened and that we needed to sort our vegetables and meat into different bowls before being weighed. We were speechless and wondered what was going on. I asked her what was wrong, but she ignored me.

This is our first time visiting this restaurant, and no one provided clear instructions on how the customers are suppose to differentiate the meats and vegetables to different bowls when weighing it.

If something is not right, please do let the customers know the proper way. Instead we are being treated rudely by your staff with such attitude. I have been looking forward to eating at this store for a long time, and I am really disappointed. I will never visit this...

First time trying out. Have always thought this was a hotpot restaurant, but it turns out to be a Chinese style spicy food restaurant whereby you choose your own steamboat dishes to be cooked together In a potluck style, and you can choose the spiciness level and whether dry or soup based. It was not as crowded during the visit, so the wait times was not as long as mentioned by some other reviews.

May need improvement on the placement of the food selection area as some customers may hog the space whilst thinking of which food to select, causing a pile up.

Tried the spiciness level 2, it was not too spicy yet still gives enough kick, just nice for me. Some dishes may need to cook longer as they were a bit harder than usual, like the potato slices or frozen foods.

Went to Hotpot Kitchen Sunway Velocity branch with my friend for lunch. My friend waited for almost 1 hour but her food never arrived! After she went to ask the cashier, they asked her to wait a while. The food arrived around 5 mins later. However, the guy with specs at cashier never put in Vits instant noodle in her bowl (but it was charged in her receipt). They sent the food back to kitchen again. My friend waited for another 15 mins but the food didn’t arrive. Again, she went to ask the cashier. The lady with specs told her to wait lo, if the food didn’t arrive within 5 mins she will REFUND HER…… Waited for almost an hour to get this kind of service?! Sorry to say as kitchen hotpot die hard fans I’m really disappointed with the service in Sunway Velocity Hotpot Kitchen and will never ever...
