Honest review
📌 The good : Lovely makeshift cafe, not hot, very cooling. Small and cute tables, comes with a bigger one for groups too. It's located part of the nursery, just opposite of Pavilion Bukit Jalil. There are also outdoor sitting option for chilling
🙏🏼Needs improvement:
Teh C beng ingredient, formula and ratio is not mixed well, if you come from Ipoh or Penang and Teh is your daily diet you will not like the taste.
Prawn noodle's prawn is fresh and not mushy, portion is nice however the broth can be thicker. It taste diluted and does not come with prawn chilly paste condiment
Curry noodle taste average, but the chicken and potato is pretty good. It would be more flavourful to add mint leaves instead of only romaine lettuce.
The fly situation needs to be controlled. There are 2 gigantic flies constantly bugging my table. Side note : The menu is too small, elderly might find it difficult to see the photos.
I understand the price point of this cafe but the food is just not it. The noodles and rice are not kopitiam sedap standard and the big breakfast is not cafe standard, the big breakfast ingredients does not align with price. It's a confusing situation here, all I know is I'm paying for the ambience
Can inhale second hand smoke even though the smoking guests are seated outside. I can imagine it would be irritating if I'm seated right next to the outdoor guest, I can smell it from the middle of the cafe. Might want to switch the fan direction or improve on this matter. I would give 5/5 atmosphere stars if this is improved and flies are gone.
Malaysians deserve to dine at a greener place and be closer to nature, and the makeshift cafe is really cute too so I would come back to try again, hopefully the tec c...
Read moreWe were referred to this cafe via friends that love the coffee there.
We called before arriving asking to book a place for 7 people. However, it was highlighted that it's first come first serve. But they can accommodate if there are available tables. Which is ok.
This place is almost one hour drive from where we live.
When we arrived, the manager was rude and not accomodating.
It's great to follow Gov SOPs (1 meter policy) but what's not nice is: Simply requesting if tables to be moved closer within the 1- meter range policy. Otherwise 1 person will be simply alienated and in a very far away table.
Then the manager refused and citing GOV SOPs... however we mentioned no problem we can make it still while complying within 1 metre policy. He replied rudely: "well we have our restaurant SOPs as well and we dont allow"
In any business customer is right. Especially if the request is reasonable and doable & within the SOPs compliance.
P.S: After leaving to nearby cafe, the cafe's manager was delighted to accommodate our request.
P.S.S: all attendees are fully Vaccinated with 2 doses more than 14 days.
Summary: This place is not recommended for more than 2 people. So they should highlight that instead of saying they are ok with it on the phone. And get people to drive for one hour for nothing. And hopefully they work on the attitude towards customers.
All the best on...
Read moreNice food but recently standard drop a bit. I always ordered cham hot and it always turn out good . But my recent trip my cham drink was a disappointment. Ask to change after I tasted the first drink coz it turn out awful. Waiter brought me the second one and it turn out worst. I was disappointed and ask the waiter to take it away coz I lost my mood for my cham drink. The person in charge came to me and ask the reason for my refusal for my drink and I told her the drink was done not to my liking like it was from my past visit. I told her I cannot explain my old taste of my cham drink and told her it was OK. She offered to refund my drink money due to my unsatisfactory with how it was made which I did not ask for refund but I just lost my mood after 2 disappointing times of delivering my favorite cham drink. The sambal that goes with my usual prawn noodle was also disappointing as it was sourish from a lot of lime juice I think and not as good...
