Imagine dining at a casual restaurant, where the chinese food served is high quality, the waiting staff is well-dressed and mannered, and the atmosphere if cool and comforting for a long chat? You can look forward to having such an experience at Dragon-i, particularly here, and their other branches nationwide.
Although I only took a photo of a bowl of plain white rice, I can assure you that if you download the png and rename it jiak, you will get a file named jiak png (rejoice Hokkien speakers).
Jokes aside, the Chinese cuisine served at this restaurant is very delicious. As my most recent visit, my family and I ordered dishes to complement said white rice, I particularly enjoyed the braised pork belly we ordered today, as the sweet and savory sauce complements the mildly sweet scent of the white rice pretty magnificently, and the texture of the pork belly was exquisite; soft fatty layer that melts upon contact with your teeth, and the tender meat layer that is chewy to the mouth and feels good with every bite.
The service staff are very well-mannered and hardworking. They are always on standby to adhere to our needs, and the needs of other customers.
The atmosphere emits oriental vibes, with its red-brown woody and earthy tones and textures. The seats are cushioned and comfortable, and the space is well air-conditioned.
All in all, will definitely come back again for family gatherings.

Read moreWe ordered quite a variety of dishes but everything came out quite average in general. It’s not terrible but it’s not great for the price. Bill came out to about RM$450 for 3 pax for 7 dishes (they removed one item from the bill after our feedback) Peking duck was RM188 so that made up half the bill.
Service was attentive but most of the wait staff aren’t very proficient in English so if you’re not conversant in Mandarin, Cantonese or Bahasa, you may want to request to speak with the supervisors who are linguistically more equipped to handle tourists.
Rating the dishes we ordered from best to worst.
Xiao Long Bao Chicken soup Peking Duck Spinach XO fried rice Hot and sour soup Salted egg yolk prawn Fried white bait (don’t bother ordering this dish. It was over fried and I tasted nothing but dough. To be fair, the restaurant removed the dish and took it off our bill when we gave our feedback that the item was not to our liking)
Overall, if i had to eat there again, I’ll probably just order the Xiao Long Bao and Peking Duck (even though I feel it’s a tad pricy) and avoid things like their prawn and...

RM28.80++ Spinach in supreme soup - generous spinach, but meagre century egg, soup lacks ingredients, MSG potent RM22.80++ Chicken soup - generous portion of chicken, but soup was too gingery for me RM46.80++ Braised pork - 2/3 fats, thick soy sauce gravy RM25.80++ La mian with pork chop (no photo) - tasty but overly fried pork chop, light but flavourful soup RM14.80++ Pork wantan in mala sauce - the sauce is very nice, but the meat was not very fresh, has gamey taste RM12.80++ Siu mai - taste like meat ball wrapped in wantan skin - the frozen siu mai from the supermarket is nicer RM12++ Egg yolk yam ball - this is too weird for me, salty outer layer, sweet yam, salty egg yolk filling RM7.80++ Barley ginkgo - bland and...
