Engaged with SS for a major renovation of our home. The team is pleasant to deal with but they lack QC and consistency across their multiple contractors.

The biggest issue we had was with their wetworks who have arguably the most important responsibility among everyone else. But unfortunately they were also the worst and ended up giving us more headaches than anything even after we moved into our house. Few examples of where they messed up were, painting was really uneven, a door was not sealed properly with cement leading to water leaking from outside due to a heavy rain and seeped under our floorboards into our kitchen, we had to redo our kitchen tile grouting because of their patchy work, they got paint over our furniture, they left a mess everywhere they went and did not bother to clean up after themselves, they spent an entire day (8-9hrs) just to execute minimal work such as replacing less than 10 tiles in our bathroom.

Their plumber is young and probably lacks experience with certain bathroom fittings as he didn't know how to install some of them correctly which required us to get a different plumber in to fix his mistakes.

Their metalworks and glassworks people were the most professional and efficient and did a good job with our gate, room divier and awning.

Carpenter/woodwork were great and even took the effort to clean up after themselves. This is on top of making sure that they sealed certain sections of the room properly to ensure that the dust did not spread everywhere.

Flooring quality was ok except they were also not very detailed and didn't do a good job sealing up the edges properly which left us with multiple gaps across the skirting around the entire house.

Unfortunately I think SS is still quite an inexperienced ID and would advise those who engage with them to manage your expectations. If you want minimal work done, they should be able to execute fairly well but if it's a large-scale renovation with high-quality outcomes, you might be better off looking somewhere else with...

Throughout the process of conceptualising, designing, to bringing to life our home renovation project, we were impressed with how their young and vibrant ID team is highly organised in their workflows, and were able to propose practical solutions and think on their feet.
