Ambiance was pretty alright. We ordered a main each and a Traditional Paella to share. The texture of my Squid Ink Spaghetti with Soft-Shell Crab could've been good but it lacked that firm and slight chew that's expected of spaghetti. The salted egg sauce and deep fried soft-shell crab was alright. Now their Traditional Paella was no where near traditional, and mind you many of us Malaysians do know what proper risotto texture should be; al dante, firm with a bit of chew. Theirs is way too soft, the clams were overcooked, shrivelled and dried out, capsicum strips way too charred. The taste was good on the tomato risotto though, could've been really good if not for the failed texture. My colleagues had the Chicken & Avocado Sandwich, Fettucine Carbonara with Smoked Duck and Seafood Aglio Olio Fettucine. These were neither good nor bad but if we do come back to Five O'Clock, we'd order something else. By the way, this joint is one those that do not believe in serving customers plain water because they want you to buy a drink even if it is a glass of plain, filtered water with a slice of lemon for RM3.50 nett... and mind you, it is not refillable. Tiramisu was good, and they were kind enough to plate it with a birthday wish written in chocolate sauce and a candle to boot. Nothing to complain/compliment on their service. Bill was RM266.80 for the 4 of us.

Horrible experience Subject — Bar cocktails: Sangria cocktail, What I ordered was abysmal. Context: The barman cut the fruit (in this case, excessive use of lemons) into tiny pieces, and it kept blocking the straw. I told them 3 times it's undrinkable, and they did not want to make a new Sangria or even apologize. Subject: Put through the food order without my consent I asked the waiter to order the main course -ONLY- after I let them know and when I was done with the cocktail drink and starter. The waiter ordered the food in advance anyway, disregarding what I requested. After the disappointment with the worst 'Sangria' on the planet, I chose to just pay my bill for items consumed until that point and get the hell out. The waiters' supervisor came to inform me that they had already put through the main dish order in the kitchen. I was furious at this point. I mean, dude, everything about this place is phoney, unoriginal, and lame. They have staff walking around repeatedly, like army soldiers, monitoring, watching everything, and listening in at all times to what you are saying to your friends. They invade your peace every 5 minutes to ask if everything is okay or when they can get you the next order. I have never seen a filthy service like this before. In the end, I just wanted to run away from this poor excuse for a brassiere.

Normally I don’t give review on restaurant unless it’s extremely good or bad. Picture from the website and environment does shown the restaurant quite promising but the food and service show otherwise. The waiters were not attentive. I think I have more patients to wait for my food than the waiters to drop my order. We have to remind them to serve the drinks first. As for the food, we ordered one considered signature dish traditional paella, from the photo uploaded here. I think the most basic of cooking prawn/shrimp will be clearing the s**t, they serve the prawn/shrimp that shell peeled, they can easily remove the s**t. Another food item was sriracha chicken breast, it was serve cold from the inside, it’s not under cook but the timing was not right at all. If they want to serve both dish together at the same time, they should have prepare the chicken a bit later but I think they prepared the chicken dish way before the paella, this is unpleasant. The price is at medium high range with average price dish at rm 30 to 40 but this kind of food and service quality is really not worth it. The two stars given for place.

To those who said the service was excellent and the staffs were friendly, I strongly felt otherwise. From the moment we stood at the entrance, me and my partner, we were neither being greeted nor welcomed by the staff.

Staff was extremely rude. To further add on, there was no courtesy to tell us that he was going to clean the table. We were puzzled as he just came over, took the plates and tissues away. Only to come back seconds later to wipe the table.

Upon ordering, the staff did not even bother to repeat our order. No thank you or whatsoever.

Finally the food came. We ordered seafood paella and beef nachos and our verdict..Total meh...Prawn served in the paella was not fresh and all mushy and as for the taste, so so only..For RM42, it was a total disappointment. As for the nachos, the one we had next door at TDH was way better! The cheese was cold and almost solid hard which I presumed they have prepared it way earlier. Other than that, some of the nachos sitting at the bottom of the plate were soft and soggy! Gosh! What an experience!

Overall from the service to the food, i would say both were really bad and I strongly think that their foreign staff should be sent for training again. If you ask me, I would strongly not recommend this place to anyone whether it is to my family or friends. Try it at...
