Masjid Ar-Rahah is a lovely and well-thought-out masjid. I went during Maghrib–Isyak and noticed that parking was widely available — no hassle at all. Between Maghrib and Isyak, there was a religious lecture (kuliah) going on, which was nice to see.
The prayer hall has air-conditioning, but it wasn’t very cold — probably because some parts of the hall were left open. Still, it was comfortable enough. For women, the prayer area is located upstairs, and there’s a lift provided — very convenient and inclusive.
The toilets were clean, though there was a slight unpleasant smell, possibly because it was already late at night. The wuduk area, however, was clean and all taps were functioning properly. The entire masjid layout is very wheelchair-friendly, with smooth ramps and accessible paths.
There’s also a gerobok rezeki (community pantry) for those in need — a thoughtful touch. Unfortunately, the water dispenser isn’t working well at the moment, but there’s a vending machine and an express coffee machine available, which is a nice backup.
One feature I really appreciated — every pillar has electric plugs, which is perfect for those who want to do some work while in iktikaf. There are also fan switches easily accessible under each fan.
Overall, it’s a great masjid with many excellent facilities. If they can find a way to fully close the open areas so the air-cond works better, it would make the experience even more...
Read moreThis mosque is situated in the bustling area of Bangsar South. I visited during Ramadan for iftar and tarawih prayers. Iftar was held in the spacious and comfortable, air-conditioned at the lower ground floor hall. The food was also good, and the committee members were friendly. The fully air-conditioned prayer hall, carpeted with fluffy carpet, provides a comfortable atmosphere for our mahrib, isyak and tarawih prayer. For ladies, there are two prayer areas, one on the ground floor and another on the first floor. There's an elevator inside the mosque to ensure easy access to each floor. The ladies' toilet is conveniently located on the ground floor near the prayer hall, and it's clean. During tarawih prayers, the imam's beautiful voice enhances my tarawih experience here. Also, he doesn't take too long in his readings so it is a plus point, well, at least for me. However, my only complaint is that the car park is quite small, and the air conditioning cannot be felt on the first floor of the women's prayer hall, making it slightly uncomfortable during tarawih prayers. But overall, it was okay. The moreh was also good. Kudos to the committee and maintenance team for their efforts in...
Read moreAs a first timer, there is a good and bad experience to be here. A very beautiful mosque to be seen from the outside, didnt get the opportunity, but will definitely come back to pray inside due to the overwhelmed reviews. However, since this is the first time, not notice any signage nearby, I park at the parking bay inside after the office hour, noticing that the area was empty and only few cars were seen, no security guard at the post, so I park there for a while for a short period meeting at the office in front, thought it was a public parking and as a woman, feel safe to be in the mosque area. A bit frustrated since my car was clamped, where later the PIC mentioned that the area was prohibited to park, and I didnt see any clear signage mentioning that the area was prohibited to park for public. For improving, hoping that the management to have a clear signage with a clear justification of making the parking prohibited for public, instead of easily...
