I recently had the pleasure of dining at Khan Indian Restaurant, a true gem for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. Nestled in a cozy corner of the city, Khan offers an intimate and welcoming atmosphere with traditional decor that immediately transports you to India. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between modern comfort and classic Indian charm, making it ideal for both casual dinners and special occasions.
Food: Khan's menu is a celebration of Indian culinary traditions, featuring an array of flavorful and expertly prepared dishes. The Lamb Biryani was another highlight, fragrant and full of tender lamb. The Garlic Naan was perfectly charred in the tandoor, soft and fluffy on the inside with a deliciously smoky finish.
Each dish was crafted with care, showcasing fresh ingredients and bold, balanced spices that are the hallmark of great Indian cooking. Whether you like it mild or extra spicy, Khan offers a variety of options to suit your taste.
Service: The service at Khan was top-notch. Our waiter was warm, attentive, and quick to offer recommendations based on our preferences. The staff seemed genuinely eager to ensure we had a great dining experience, and they were happy to accommodate any special requests. Our food arrived promptly, and the pacing was just right, allowing us to savor each course without feeling rushed.
Overall Experience: Khan Indian Restaurant provides an exceptional dining experience that highlights the best of Indian cuisine. From the carefully crafted dishes to the warm service and inviting atmosphere, every aspect of the meal was delightful. Whether you're a long-time fan of Indian food or new to it, Khan is a place you won’t want to miss. Highly...
Read moreWe came here for a birthday dinner and was totally happy we chose to dine at Khans! We made reservations as this placed gets packed very easily especially during dinner. They have indoor and outdoor seating and we opted for indoor. For dinner we had :
Lamb Sukkah Varuval (RM34.90) Aloo Gobi Mutter (RM21.90) Paneer Tikka Masala (RM31.90) Naan Butter/4pcs (RM6.50) Naan Cheese/4pcs (RM10.90) Tandoori Roti/4pcs (RM5.90) Tandoori Tiger Prawn Briyani (RM49.90) Spicy Bombay Briyani Chicken (RM29.90)
The food was spectacular! Loved how every food tasted good, filled with spices and not too spicyy. The naan roti is so soft and fluffy and paired with the tender lamb sukkah varuval, paneer tikka and aloo gobi mutter was just perfect! The prawn briyani comes with two HUGE prawns, which were chewy and juicy, i was amazed! 😭 spicy bombay briyani tasted average, just like a normal chicken briyani, its good 👍🏽
For drinks we had :
Honey Lemon Tea (RM9.00) Mango Smoothie (RM14.00) Fresh Lemon Soda (RM18.00) Khan’s Masala Tea (RM8.00)
The drinks were good but definitely recommend their masala tea and fresh lemon soda 👍🏽 The fresh lemon soda was super refreshing!
For dessert we had a Carrot Cake Slice (RM17) which was great, not too sweet and just to our liking 👌🏽 No picture of it tho 😅 we were quick to devour it 🫣
Overall the parking is abit of an hassle however do come early and recommend to make a reservation. Their service is amazing as they’re very attentive to their customers and this place has a great ambiance and suitable for large groups. Will definitely come back to try other food from...
Read moreOverall: *1/2 Food: ** Service: **1/2 Ambience: * Value: *1/2 Heaving with customers on a Saturday night, the restaurant - which is bright and cheerful (despite some of the pics) - resembles a noisy canteen. It is more suited for a family meal rather than a candlelit dinner for 2. There were 7 of us and we could sample quite a few dishes. Excellent - Methi chicken masala, chicken tikka masala. mushroom mutter masala, and bhindi fry. The tandoori broccoli mushroom and tandoori kebab platter could be warmer. Butter chicken was good too - the chicken pieces had a nice smoked taste but was a tad sweet. The lamb rogan josh was the poorest dish - the sauce was like a southern Indian curry - smooth and without texture. The staples of bread basket and briyani were normal. Service was below average: the waiters were all wearing different clothes (no uniform?) and two of them could not explain the dishes that were being served! One of them threw the wrapped straws onto the table. A few of us ordered hot drinks with teabags and requested for a top up of hot water which was rejected by one waiter. Tried our luck with the 2nd who brought a jug of hot water. On the next refill, another waiter brought all the glasses to the kitchen for refilling. Why the different standards of service? Despite this, Khan's is a casual, clean restaurant that serves good Northern...
