Having lunch here yesterday. I pass my card to them and say I want to use pin instead of pay wave. However the waiter returned to me and said my card was not able to go through. I was so shocked, because I didn’t even press the pin. I walked to the cashier and ask what’s wrong with my card. The rude cashier said the credit card machine is faulty. Can you imagine, a restaurant like this telling me that they only accept cash ? I am not eating at mamak, or food stall. Then I asked him to try it again in front of me. And guess what the machine is power off ! What I suspect is they are going to have a break at 3pm so they quickly do their work and want to have their break as fast as possible, so they want to receive cash because it’s easy for them. What a bad attitude the cashier had. The Philippine staff is so rude and I wondering how can he be cashier ? I hope the management can give some training to them. Definitely will come back again to see how’s the guy doing. I am actually thinking to make a complaint to the immigration department so that they can make a spot check on the...
Read moreOn a weekend, parking was a breeze. We were there early for brunch. The ambience and decor was simple & relaxing.
At the front entrance there was a 12' x 2' of waterway occupied by 5 to 6 large to medium koi fish. They could hardly swim in it. Sad to cramp such beautiful creatures in a small area.
Tables were small. About 3' x 3'. Service was ok. Upon sitting, we were offered a selection of 3 appetisers. We chose the fried tofu with ikan bills. They only had one choice of Chinese tea - Oolong.
We had Basil chicken, Steamed fresh fish with marinated sweet beans which tasted like capers, Meat sauce, Stewed bean curd, Fried green chives with minced meat, Pan fried French beans with minced meat, rice and a bowl of plain porridge.
The rice was like Korean rice, pearl, short grain. Basil chicken has a distinct flavor but the rest were just average. The total bill came up to RM 300+. Quite expensive for normal...
Read moreProbably the oldest Taiwanese restaurant in town where they started at Jalan Imbi. Now that the Jalan Imbi HQ has closed but they have outlets at Sunway, Garden mall and this Sri Hartamas outlet. Only here and the Garden (steamboat outlet) serve ala carte dishes; whereby the Sunway Pyramid and Garden front outlet serves set meal only. This outlet serve many kinds of dishes, including the famous San Bei chicken (三杯鸡), pig intestines, fish cook in different styles and various kind of fried vegetables. Today we tried their fish head pot, fried French beans in minced pork and the braised pork (卤肉). All were really good. The fish head pot has lot of ingredients in it - half a fried fish head, meat ball, egg dumpling (蛋饺), cuttlefish, crab stick, tofu, toupok (tofu puff), mushrooms, yam slices and generous amount of Chinese cabbage. Great especially when in a raining day. Just that the soup maybe a little salty...
