I have a friend who came all the way from Sabah. We set out meet up in Central Market and thought we just wanted have some light snacks. At first they sent waterchestnut with jackfruit dessert we didnt ordered. The manager, a lady (i think) tried to convince us to accept but we politely decline as it is not what we ordered. I ordered Cendol Durian - the coconut milk is so thick, it taste like its been poured right out of the box. My friend ordered Sago Mango- it was supposed to be a cold dessert but when it arrived the sago was warm when we ask abt it, the same lady told my friend off - it is what is and if u want Ice we can give ice. Next was the mango salad. I'm sorry but it taste nothing like Thai mango salad (kerabu mangga) it was all watery and tasteless, no spicy no sour, more like stir fry young mango. Last but not least the chicken spring roll which was dipped in egg mixture before deep fry with very hot oil making golden brown outside but cold inside and we could taste the chewy uncooked spring roll wrap.

All in all when feedback was given the lady who served us gave us a look of dissatisfaction.

Bear in mind tht not all customers walk into your restaurant with zero knowledge about food. I've tasted bad but this one is definately the worst and...

Don’t come, this restaurant is terrible.

First of all, it is way more expensive than it deserves. We three people ordered 3 combos, 2 drinks and 1 vegetable, and these dishes are RM 135 in total, which is much higher than the local pricing level.

Secondly, the food here is intolerably bad. All dishes are either too spicy or too salty. The roasted chicken (which is expected to be juicy) is extremely hard and dry. Also, the beef in the beef pho is overcooked to an extent that we can barely swallow it. The vegetable is also too hard to swallow. I feel the chef here does not really know how to cook properly.

Simply put, don’t come here for any food. There are tons of better restaurants near Pasar Seni that are both delicious and fairly priced. This stupid restaurant should bankrupt immediately and leave the spot for other restaurants that know how to cook...

Omg I just wished someone from the restaurant could carry me to my car right after eating here 😝 If craving for good thai food this is definitely a destination to visit. Amazing Thai food of the highest quality and a reasonable price. In my opinion, this is the best Thai restaurant in town. The atmosphere, the taste of the food, the service, and the price are so cheap that I was shocked. Nice atmosphere and the tables are not close together like some restaurants. The waitress serving were very polite and helpful. Very nice and cozy place with authentic menu. Recommended dishes: Ayam bakar padang chicken and desert:- water chestnut with jackfruit Finally, it is a Thai restaurant that makes me feel like I am eating real Thai food. Thank you for my darling Rose mommy who brought me to this...

By no means am I saying this is real Thai never had real thai food before.I have gone here for 3 days now for lunch and dinner. The food is good and fresh for what I ordered the chicken chop with black pepper sauce. The sauce is not too spicy, and it goes well both with chicken and fries. Yes cost is more than other places in the area but if you don't want people smoking around while you eat it's worth the extra RM all other food places are outside and most are open air so people smoke. Service has been great and very kind people here. I guess some people don't understand they are in another country and service is not the same here as they get where they come from. My only issue is that it is warm inside, but they do have air circulation that helps greatly, but I am also used to the humidity.

Ginger in Pasar Seni is a gem! The cozy ambiance blends modern and traditional Malaysian vibes perfectly. The food is top-notch with a fantastic mix of local and international dishes. The Ayam Kerutuk made with Kenchur is an absolute exotic highlight – skewers grilled to perfection with delicious peanut sauce. The Nasi Lemak is a must-try, packed with authentic flavors and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations. Portions are generous, making the prices surprisingly affordable. Don’t miss the Onde Onde Cake for dessert – it’s the perfect sweet finish to a great meal. Ginger is definitely worth a visit for both locals and tourists. Can’t wait to return and try more!
