I came in and saw two guys at the side counter. One was preparing drinks while the other was talking to him. I waited for either of them to come to the counter to greet me or at least acknowledge my presence. After being ignored for a few minutes, I politely said âHiâ in a nice tone. No response. I tried again with a âHello.â Still ignored.
So I decided to just wait while watching them. One continued preparing drinks, the other walked around. In my opinion, a simple âHi, please wait a momentâ wouldâve been enough. You donât leave a customer standing there like that, especially when I ended up waiting over 15 minutes just to be acknowledged.
And when someone finally came to the counter, there wasnât even a greeting or apology. Just a poker face, standing there waiting for me to order. No smile, no âSorry for the wait,â nothing. I went ahead and placed my order. I asked about a dish to understand it better, and all I got was a head shake to indicate it wasnât available. When I asked further, you gave a few words of explanation without even looking at me.
Then I paid and again, no âthank you,â no âhave a nice day.â You simply handed me the receipt and that was it. Honestly, I almost walked out without buying anything because of the staffâs attitude.
What kind of customer service is this? I tried to stay positive and thought maybe you were just having a bad day but no, while I was waiting, you were laughing and chatting with the other staff.
Then it clicked. Maybe itâs because you close at 7PM, and last orders are at 6:30PM. I came in at 6:20PM, so was that the reason for the attitude? Even so, I was still well within the ordering timeframe as per your policy.
Something seriously needs to be improved and corrected. Otherwise you risk losing...
