Went there during the afternoon around 1.00pm for lunch. No queue needed straight dine in.
We ordered Ayam Gepuk, Set B (3 Fried Chicken (Breast), Coleslaw, Canned Drink), Wedges and Kelapa Shake. The order was served almost after 8 minutes. After ordering just make sure you pay attention on the Queue number showed right above the sink when your number show up so you can go pick up your food.
The Set B (RM15.90) Fried chickens was very juicy and the though the chicken skin was not crispy, it made up in flavours. If compared with KFC, I would personally say the chicken here are much better as all the breast meat was not dry at all and their size is almost similar to what KFC serves. Coleslaw too was basically KFC coleslaw but chopped in smaller bits.
The Ayam Gepuk (RM9.90) we ordered has nasi lemak and the sambal at pedas level. As a non-malay, I could not tolerate the spice level but I will say it tasted delicious as I was burning my mouth. The set includes 1 fried chicken which as described previously was delicious along with the tempehs (Fried Soybean).
The wedges (RM4.00) was not as fried as I was expecting but cooked well enough, the seasoning is a tad spicy. Serving size was enough for at least 2 people to eat so I think it's quite worth it.
Lastly the Kelapa Shake (RM6.40) had freshly cut open coconut juice along with some vanilla ice-cream. The juice was refreshing and nicely paired with the spicy foods we ordered. However, I believe adding a bit more creaminess would enhance it further.
Overall a nice restaurant to eat at when you are shopping inside NSK and the prices are affordable too. They often put out discounts every now and then such as the Ayam gepuk we ordered today.
Tl;Dr great restaurant, affordable prices,...

From the very first sip, the freshness of this coconut water stands out. It carries that clean, slightly nutty aroma that signals it’s been freshly tapped from a young coconut—no preservatives, no artificial flavors, just pure, tropical goodness. The flavor is mildly sweet, never overpowering, and beautifully smooth. It doesn’t coat the tongue like sugary drinks do—instead, it washes over your palate, leaving you feeling light and refreshed.
What really elevates the experience is the perfect chill factor. Served cold, the coconut water becomes not just a thirst-quencher, but a whole mood-lifter. It’s the kind of drink that cools you from the inside out—especially after a spicy meal like nasi lemak. The electrolytes in the water also help replenish your body, making it an excellent choice after walking under the sun or after a workout.
Sometimes, you’ll find soft, jelly-like coconut flesh inside, which adds a fun, slightly chewy texture to enjoy alongside the drink. It’s nature’s bonus topping—mild and tender, almost dessert-like in its own right.
In a world full of artificial drinks and fizzy sodas, coconut water is a true gem. It’s natural, low in calories, and full of potassium and hydration benefits. This particular serving strikes the right balance in taste, temperature, and quality.

Read moreThis plate of nasi lemak is a perfect example of how simple elements can come together to create a deeply satisfying Malaysian meal. Served with vibrant green pandan-infused rice, crispy fried chicken, sambal, crunchy anchovies (ikan bilis), roasted peanuts, and a hard-boiled egg hidden under the sambal, this dish hits the mark in both presentation and flavor.
The star of the plate is undeniably the fried chicken. Golden brown, crunchy on the outside, and tender on the inside, the chicken adds a savory punch and satisfying texture that complements the softness of the rice. The batter is seasoned well—crisp without being overly greasy.
The rice is light and aromatic, likely cooked with coconut milk and pandan, lending a subtly sweet and fragrant profile that pairs well with the rich sambal. Speaking of which—the sambal is thick, spicy, and slightly sweet with just the right amount of heat to wake up your palate without overpowering the dish. It acts as the bold flavor bridge that ties the creamy rice and the crispy chicken together.
The accompaniments—roasted peanuts and crispy anchovies—bring in that essential crunch and umami, rounding out the experience with a nutty, salty contrast. These little elements may seem small, but they make a big difference in giving each bite a nice complexity.
Altogether, this nasi lemak delivers on multiple fronts: texture, flavor, and aroma. While it may not be the most traditional version with rendang or sambal sotong, the fried chicken variation is a welcome twist that’s hard to resist. Whether you’re a local or just exploring Malaysian cuisine, this plate offers comfort, spice, and indulgence in one hearty meal.
Highly recommended for a filling, flavorful...
