Edited review. We stayed here for a week as our friends also booked here through the same management company (HomeBrickz), but the actual owners of the apartments must’ve been different as the decor of the 2 units are very different. Our friends’ 2BR was tastefully furnished and decorated, equipped with a very comfortable sofa and large smart TV with streaming platforms. Our 1BR was plain with a pc tv box that only had YouTube working. Other apps like Netflix wouldn’t load. That said, it was clean and sufficient for our one week stay. Something to consider when one is deciding on the options offered by each management company. The photos do not exactly represent the actual unit you may be allocated. Location-wise was good; on map. There is a metro station, IKEA and MyTown mall within walking distance. But to get there you have to walk past a grotty-looking neighbourhood and cross 2 very busy roads/highways with pedestrian light crossing that do not work. Basically, you’re jaywalking by default. That, or hail a car which is silly as they’re so close. I took 1 star off for location otherwise it would’ve been near perfect. Back to Continew - as a condo building. The leisure amenities provided are very good. A nice large pool and a kiddies wading pool with a slide. Also a small sand pit area with a climbing frame. On the mezzanine level are the gym, yoga room, kids playroom and reading room. There are also garden decks dotted around on several of the floors. Security personnel are good and some of them are friendly and helpful (some rather nonchalant, naturally). The management company team we’re booked with was reactive, as opposed to proactive, despite having 4 staff within the chat group. Slow in responses as I was made to wait hours or a whole day for each action; be it a question about room rates, key card, request for more bowls (only 1 bowl supplied, then they kindly topped up 4 of each bowls and plates), and the ‘highlight’ was a broken kettle on day 5. Not even a quick line to say ‘wait miss ya’ (the ‘ya’ seems to be a signature suffix), so perturbed they must’ve been by the news that the kettle went kaput. The eventual response came over 24 hours later when they noticed my matter-of-fact Google review which I wouldn’t have needed to resort to had they acknowledged the very simple issue. I promised to revise my review once I receive my deposit refunded in full (Oh, there’s a RM200 deposit required prior check in). The refund must’ve been the quickest response; within 11 hours of check out - many thanks. I did leave the apartment tidy. 2 stars back for their efforts to redeem themselves. Giving 4 or 5 stars would be misleading.
All things combined, our stay was...
Read moreThe apartment was at 41° floor of a bright building, has a great and luminous city view, the rooms have good space, 2 bathroom and a living room with kitchen corner. The building has a 7eleven right in front so you can have the possibility to buy something also in late hours.
Anyway there are things the owner MUST fix in my opinion:
1 - The windows leading to the balconies did not close and I had to adjust the closing system myself with a screwdriver, as it was misaligned. Having children, this was really a problem (children, as we know, are curious and unpredictable) as the external balcony was completely glazed and at a dizzying height of more than 130m. Same situation for the bathroom in the room: the window was in the shower and opened completely, without a safety system on the handle. I find this extremely dangerous, because the handle was at children's height. The owner must implement a security system for these things; it shouldn't be easy to open the windows on a skyscraper, especially since the handles are not at the top but a child can open them. Put a padlock, a block, but make sure that they cannot be easily opened by children.
2 - The toilet seats had loose screws and moved left and right when you sat down. The screws need to be adjusted.
3 - The pans are not those for the induction hob: If you have an induction hob, you must have the appropriate pans. You might think that this is a marginal aspect, but I assure you that it is not... you are in an apartment, you want some comfort after traveling for hours, and when you think about cooking this becomes difficult. If I have to bring my own pans, I go to the hotel.
4 - Lastly, they could improve the aspect of flexibility regarding check-out at 12.00pm, which is, in my opinion, too early: having 2 children and it being the day of departure, there are many things to manage, there are often unforeseen events, children with last-second bathroom emergencies (for example). So we asked to check in a little later, maybe 35/45 minutes longer, and we were denied. Here I think that check in could be moved a little later, so as to also make checkout...

bathroom stank when we arrived and was only (barely) cleaned two day later there’s mold in the wardrobe items of former tenant were still in the apartment ants everywhere the cheap microfiber bed linen smelt moldy shower drain caked in grime and smelly, water didn’t drain thick layers of dust on the vents and ceiling fan (probably not cleaned in years)
the apartment is directly connected to another apartment, only separated by a wooden door. You will hear every single sound, even normal conversation, that your neighbors make, at any time of the day. I cannot stress enough just how much you will hate this there’s a mosque and highway directly outside the balcony
the kitchen is an overall joke. Everything reminds you more of a child’s toys than actual items you would want to use plastic dishes blunt kitchen knives host refused to provide normal (butter) knives no cooking basics even though one of the two spots on the stove is induction none of the utensils support it, meaning you’ll cook on one spot only
only a single (electronic) key is provided. If you’re a couple that has different schedules this will suck no key for the parking lot and guards will refuse entry even if the car is registered through the host (never worked)
Homebrickz has no idea how to host people. They do the bare minimum to make their apartments somewhat livable but it’s an overall joke. We feel scammed, especially in face of all the other hosts we’ve had in Malaysia.
The building and location itself isn’t that good either, we’ve had better stays in KL at places like Ceylonz, Lucentia and UNA. These places are also much more conveniently located when it comes to grocery shopping...
