Chanced upon this Beef noodle place by chance. Decided to drop by this place to try their beef noodle since i am in Cheras area. Place is relatively easy to find. Apparently, their main outlet is in Chinatown, petaling street. They have another branch in Puchong as well. Place is easy to find and ample parking space. This place is air conditioned, a good escape from the scorching weather. Reached the place around 10am, and surprised to find only 2 table occupied.

Ordering is relatively easy, which can be don over at the cashier. Ordered their dry beef noodle, requesting for the thick beehoon which the local called lai fen. Had the combo of beef ball and sliced beef. Food came pretty quickly, portion is quite huge. Noodle was rather bland, could do with more seasoning. Soup was good, Has a strong herbal taste to it. Most importantly, the soup was pipping hot when served. Slice beef was cooked to the right doneness, and it was really tender.

Overall, food was okay. would have gone to the main outlet at Petaling street instead, not worth the travelling all the...

Have been patronising Lai Foong for more than a decade but this is the first time I visit the Taynton View outlet. Operate by the 2nd sibling of the 3 brothers, this outlet is clean and air-conditioned. Ordered :-

a) Beef ball kuey teow soup @ RM9 - beef ball is super bouncy, beefy and nice. b) Beef ball, tribe, lam kuey teow soup @ RM10.50 - tribe, beef ball is very good but the lam is pretty chewy. c) Lam tendon leaf, tripe and beef ball lai fun @ RM10 - lam tendon is chewy. Beef ball and leaf is good!

Overall, we found the broth here is not as aromatic and beefy compared to the Tun HS.Lee outlet. It is more diluted too. No kaq factor! On top of that, the serving in town is more generous too. Owner is nice but not the foreign workers. The have a bit of attitude. The only good point of having beef noodle here is the parking....

Very bad service attitude. Their staff get the wrong order for customer and they do not apologize to customer. They argue to the customer and the staff insist on not apologizing' attitude. They keep arguing but until the end they changed the food but they just picked out the beef and added shrimp inside the food only. Fortunately, I am not sensitive to beef... Their staff are too treacherous, especially the chef..!! Situation : I order fried laiFen with shrimp and already double confirm with the staff order food but they still given me the fried laiFen with beef and not apologize to us. And the worst of all are they keep argue with us and insist on not apologizing' attitude. Very angry...

In our return visit to this beef shop, which has now shifted about three months ago to facing the main road on the right side, a short distance before the previous location. We again ordered our usual, comprising a mixed variety of beef soup based on individually preference. The soup is tasty, but lighter and lesser flavour, with the portion about just. The chili sauce is less strong now. Overall, a shop still to visit if you like beef soup. The bill came to RM78.70 for the four of us.
