This Chinese-style kopitiam cafe boasts a classic vibe and is reasonably clean. The boss, a friendly bald man, is constantly on the move, ensuring that customers are seated comfortably and have their orders taken care of. He greets each person as they arrive or leave, adding a personal touch to the dining experience.
The Kai See Hor Fun, a dish of soup flat noodles, is an absolute must-try. It's the most authentic Ipoh-style noodle soup I've tasted outside of Ipoh. The broth is sweet and flavorful, and I could drink all of it if I hadn't ordered coffee. For me, this is the star dish of the restaurant and the reason why I keep coming back.
I also tried the Lala Bihun with Cheese Broth, which was already deliciously sweet with lala. However, the addition of cheese elevated the flavor to another level of goodness. I would recommend using the broth as a dip for the croissant.
While the Chicken Alfredo was an affordable option to try Western cuisine, the flavor wasn't quite strong enough for my personal taste. However, other items on the menu might be more appealing to others.
The Three Layer Iced Milk Tea was creamy and flavorful, just as a good milk tea should be. Other hot beverages, such as Hainanese tea and coffee, were equally impressive.
Overall, the restaurant offers affordable Asian and local cuisine, with only slightly higher prices for the...
Read moreHeard bout how great the Fried Koay Teow is and decided to try it. Here's my review, the Koay Teow used is the thin type and it's hard to fry this type because its lumps up when the cook don't how to control the heat. Surprisingly there's the nice wok hei, it's tasty as in sufficiently flavoured but a bit on the oily side. For RM8 which is the small size, you get 1 large Prawn and 2 slices of Clams (the 2 long white slices). Its also on the spicy side but not until you sweat in your underwear. Overall a nice plate of Char Koay Teow and close to Penang Style. Other notable mention is the Western food stall, had Pork Chop with Pasta. Despite the Pork Chop didn't have any sauce, it was surprisingly flavourful and well seasoned. Hints of Lea and Perrin sauce dominates the flavour and meat was tender. Comes with 1 Sunny Side Up too. Drinks is only average. Overall a good place but mind you it's smoky and if you seat near...
Read moreA good place to hangout with your family for a breakfast. Their Hainan tea and Hainan coffee are the best that I have ever tried. Aromatic and the coffee:milk ratio just blends right. I remembered the boss of the coffee shop ever told me that they are very particular with the coffee bean they use.
Food wise is ok, plenty of choices and the price is within acceptable range. (RM8+- for a bowl of noodle)
I like their loh mee as I have been eating theirs since launch. It comes with a special vinegar garlic sauce that mix very well with the loh mee. They used to be husband and wife taking care of the stall, but now only left her wife.
The boss, and the waiters are friendly. The environment is clean and spacious.
Will I come again? Yeah
