Read moreYesterday, I just had my lunch and was exploring the area for other lunch spots to try out and came across this restaurant. The Indian waiter saw me and asked me if I would like to dine but I declined him saying I had my lunch, but told him I would be coming tomorrow to give it a try as it seems to be a decent restaurant, earning an average of more than 4.5 stars in reviews. (sometimes stars can be deceiving). Keeping my words, I made the trip there the next day and ordered the set lunch. The same Indian waiter I met yesterday took the order and brought me the starters. The starters aren't really "nice-looking" but tasted ok. I was particularly fond of the garlic bread and soup and asked the Indian waiter if I may asked for more of the garlic bread and soup and he told me he'd bring me another starter plate. After some time, I made the same request again, requesting him for additional soup and bread. The Indian waiter told me he would bring me but ended up serving me the ice-lemon tea that I ordered. I repeated my request again and he gestured me to wait. Then came the main course but again no soup and bread. This time I made the request to the Malay waitress and again I did not receive any. I thought they are busy serving other customers but I saw only 2-3 occupied tables when I repeated the request. As I need to return to work, I couldn't wait any longer but to pay and leave. After paying, the Indian waiter came to my table and served me the starter plate. I told him it's too late and I need to return to work. He immediately took away the starter plate with a smug look...
Read moreThe servers are excellent and very attentive. The food was served very frequently. The reason for my low rating is the quality of the food itself. First, let me tell you what was good and then I'll say where they need to improve. The sides were very good and fresh. The beef stew, the salads, and the chicken were delicious. There were 6 or 8 items included in the sides bar. But honestly, who goes to a Brazilian steakhouse to eat tandoor chicken, satay, duck, or fish? When I think of Brazilian steakhouse, the only thing I think of is great beef. And unfortunately, that's where this fell short, way short, in fact. Apart from the fact that they do not serve any rib eye, rib meat, filet, or even NY strip, the meat they did serve had lots of grizzle in it and not enough of good fatty pieces. The meat was very chewy, I literally had to chew pieces 50 times before spitting them out because it was still attached to all the collagen. They themselves weren't sure what cut of beef they were serving. My suggestion to them is to buy good quality beef to begin with. If the beef isn't tender, there are ways to make it tender, perhaps the chef should learn how to properly prepare and grill beef? Grilling was another thing where they fell short; none of the beef surface had any crust developed which gives it its signature taste. The beef looked more like it was braised rather than grilled on fire. To their credit, the staff were very concerned about our concerns and tried to make it up to us, unfortunately, it was too little, too late. I hope the restaurant can improve on...
